So..... I'm running this build now, and you weren't kidding. With a little bit of investment, this just lets you bully the game and take it's lunch money. I even got the damage reduction fragment! This is a great video, and I'm currently building up fetid wounds, about to go make Shrewd regret his life choices.

Didn't even matter. Crushed him. He's gravel. Got the neck coil, dunked on the cubes, gonna see what Losnom and N'eruds I roll tomorrow. If It's Shahala and Nightweaver, Audacious will carry me hard, but I'm hoping to see Tal-Ratha for that sweet, sweet Nebula loving.

One of the things that makes the forlorn coast farm so good is after the first time, you get 5 corrupted luminite shards instead of the mutator for a total of 7. Each sells for 250 scrap so 1750 per run. You can leisurely complete once and roll again in 5 minutes for ~20k scrap an hour. You can stop selling at any point to get yourself a maxed out mutator with the scrap and dust you get.

Great guide this made the venom fight really easy even though I was saved by the cat ring in that fight. I though I had annihilation in the bag but I got humbled and ended my run in the first 30 seconds of annihilation.

Another little tip to anybody who's having trouble getting their bills started and I haven't even done this myself yet my hardcore character is still Level 3 but you can have somebody else join your game even at level one and have them just sit at the Crystal and stay there anytime you die they can just touch the Crystal and revive you as long as both of you don't die the run is not over unless they changed something since I played so you might want to test it with a level one character first fair warning though the more players the tougher it is and with this strategy you will be playing by yourself on a difficulty with two players I don't know how that would affect this build

Another early scrap farm is adventure mode N'Erud forgotten prison. Get to the NPCs tower, get Escalation Circuit from below, repeat. 750 scrap each consecutive time you pick it up.

Just so you know during the fight with the one true king during his invulnerable faze when he is spamming the field with red pillers of death you can stand by the door you entered feom and no pillers appear near the door

if you do hardcore with 2 other players you basically get 3 lives and resting at a crystal revives dead players on veteran its almost guaranteed first try after surviving the cube boss in the labyrinth

Loved the video, still working for me close to 2025. Best advice I can give to people who just want the gun, and aren’t actually hardcore players, is use Save Guardian. Fuck losing 5+ hours of work. Way more than that if you’re like me and you over prepare. Also, you can be revived if you’re co-op. Best way to get through labyrinth cubes is to have your co-op wait outside at the checkpoint and just solo it.

Funny how you had Miasma or as you said the Nebula to clear the little guys at the end but used sparkfire to shoot them one by one. The panic brain just thinks differently. It looks like the "checkpoint" for the run's success is Labyrinth. You get a lot of the power up items for the build, especially this status build, in labyrinth, like Energized Neck Coil, Leto armor and maybe even the Enigma. As well as getting pass the instant kill boss of The Cube.

Sidenote, personally I say Nerud forgotton prison start is best for farming because you just run thru to the custodian, you get 750 for escalation protocol in that basement spot, 650 for the 5 poisoning items custodian gives u, the chest at custodian, AND a trait point (sometimes even 2) if ya spend the extra 2-5 mins running the map. So it works out for me (time investment vs reward) to be about an extra 1/3 to 2x scrap plus the bonus of trait points. Since with 1 nerud custodian run u get enough for both bands and about equal exp for the small wave of enemies u hafta fight off to use checkpoint nd reroll.

Good stuff dude. I’ve lost nearly every Hardcore character after Cancer. Not to venom… Though I’ve died to them too. But the insane mobs on the stretch right after Cancer is beyond pain for me. Ritualist would probably make it far less frustrating.

Ritualist is nasty for mob clearing and for bosses! With enough status effect damage ticking away you can just ran away and dodge the bosses moves until they eventually meet there inevitable end haha I thought the hardcore grind was fairly chill with this setup compared to others :) Appreciate the support legend, glad you enjoyed the video 💪

Definitely going to try this build, couple friends and I had already started up a hardcore vet run, but only got past the labyrinth. Power level seems to be set up exactly how you have it (I’m 4, Seeker’s Rest is 6, also got Fae Imposter, yippee), just need to get Burden of the Audacious and Invoker.

I was doing hardcore in coop with a friend, and on Annihilation in phase 2, it lagged, and as i was pressing dodge/roll to avoid an attack, it teleported us and the character jumped in front of the boss and fell down and died. I was pretty mad at the game after that. Such BS ended the run.

Yes. Milestone unlocks (story completion, dying 15 times etc.) are permanently unlocked for all characters to buy once you've done it on any character.

i learn a lot of stuffs because of this although im not using ritualist + invoker im casually finishing hardcore nightmare no sweat... 1st thing i learn when starting is to buy scrapshot i never buy any other mods on starter other than scrapshot everytime i do a hardcore run 2nd tip that i adopt is sniff all the enemy you are not fast running the game so dont rush cuz mobs can swarm you in no time especially the meatballs on faceless thicket youll die there fast 3rd is buy burden of the audacious i never use my relic ever again after i buy that item also when im starting HC Nightmare i always pick invader then after i got 5 lumenite crystals and 1500 scraps ill buy either alchemist or challenger then make the invader secondary , alchemist so i can drink 2 concoctions mudtooth + root or challenger so i can have revive also invader + burden of audacious you dont need to pop a relic and will just hunt a better one like profane heart or gossamer heart and your killing every HC Nightmare runs easily no sweat now im doing HC Apocalypse and trying whats the best starter characters or builds to run.

I checked this out but you definitely don’t need to be doing all this to succeed. Just start handler for the rez perk and buy black cat band - two lives to spare if you go down. From there just run the campaign and farm in adventure mode if you feel the need. Folks did HC before any DLC were out. No need to go through all this.

Don’t even sweat it dude mistakes happen, This is definitely a high risk hardcore build compared to some others on YT, try using challenger instead of Invoker, at least that way you’ll get another free life from challengers prime perk! I found early game is the slowest once you’ve finished “Labyrinth” it gets easier until you get to root earth then it’s back to stressing 😅 Venom still makes me clench my cheeks

When taking fatal damage instead of dying you get left with 1hp? It 100% protects you from dying, it’s saved my ass plenty of times, you’ve either got hit by a 1 shot mechanic or you’ve been doubled hit in quick succession.

@AussiesomeTwo It also doesn't help that Remant 2 apocalypse is so easy to cheese, litterly every build in the game is way too strong and while it's certainly fun to just steamroll everything, that gets boring pretty fast and people want a challenge.

@@JohnDoe-pu5gk this is also true I’m sure for some it’s fun having crazy OP stuff and for others not so much, cause I didn’t realise so many people play online and having people steam roll stuff can be super annoying some times I’m part of the problem tho ;)

Can you use this on other characters or does it just stay on your hard core character?

All the rewards you get for completing hardcore are account bound, meaning any new or existing characters can get access to them

Dunno if any1 will read this anymore, since it's been so long since the 2nd DLC dropped & the 3rd is out now but... Any1 mind helping a player who's basically given up on Remnant II after a total of 65? failed Hardcore Runs (42 on PC, 23? on Series X) I just can't stand always loosing all my shet waaaay before i even get TO the g*m Nexus, let alone BEATING the Cubes ( No, not cuz i keep dieing on every little thing, but after 15 tryhard tries, i just started rushing Nightmare Losomn in Morrow Parish cuz i straight didn't give a f*** anymore; .. needed to build up my Archetypes for the Total Archetype Level & to get SOMETHING worth using in a sorta-build before i can even ATTEMPT a Nightmare World Boss... .. & would only play seriously if i got something worth playing to keep, hence all the failed runs ) { My last 1 i had a good ish build coming together & passed out from exhaustion in N'erud, so of COURSE my b***h character ran off the g*m ledge to off herself & f*** me, AGAIN!; .. so i just quit & Uninstalled it from my PC } My Gamertag: Warlord Drake PSN: Warlord-Drake Steam: Unyielding_Outcast
