Ty you finally stated about the archetypes, Literally no one talked about how you could swap them out, everybody just glanced over that fact and talked about the ability to pick two classes and change between those 2. You can still screw yourself a great deal early on, but all Youtubbers had to say was its like the first game except you have a gotta collect them all and levl to 10

@@Nimoot Just in case new players are confused it's not exactly infinite. Sure, you get infinite ammo for five seconds after using a skill, but aside from that you simply get a bonus to ammo reserves, which is also nice. Point is, you can very much still run out of ammo in co-op mode if your partner doesn't share drops.

loving the popularity this game earns. the last one was so good but not as big. as a returning player of the series though, i want to say it's also okay to miss things early on. part of the excitement the series gives you is learning things even after dozens of hours of gameplay. just don't burn yourself out to where the game feels dull later on because you've got every item

My biggest tip to new players is spend time farming purples on Yaesha until you find an Amulet called the Scavenger's Bauble. Wear it during future exploration and switch off it during boss fights. That bonus 50% scrap and material "vacuum" effect is a God send early on.

as an add on to newer player for some newer players, once you unlock a new area in adventure mode, pop out of campaign roll it in adventure mode and grind a bit, this not only lessons the over load of having to grind all possible bosses/events etc at once, but it lets you see all potential story outcomes so once you re roll campaign you are not like neo in the matrix when you run into each

something else new players should really know if they're going to be doing multiplayer is how to emote and do callouts, as this is, as far as I'm aware, completely unexplained by the game callouts and emotes are, on mouse + keyboard at least, (and I assume also on controller,) bound to the same key as your general-purpose ping/spot button (which is also worth getting used to in co-op.) you just have to press and hold the button to open the callouts / emotes radial menus. this includes useful callouts such as needing a particular kind of ammo, which is very useful if you're not specifically on voice coms with your co-op partners

About sticking with weapons early on. Don't take this too far, my friend was simply satisfied with his starting weapon while I was trying out each new boss weapon we found and one of them ended up being incredibly strong compared to any of the starting weapons we had. Just saying, it's good to experiment a bit, you might find something, and you can always run an adventure mode to get mats, it's not like you literally run out of material and scrap in the game, there are always ways to farm more by just playing.

Something I didn't know (until it happened). When you get the 10 trait points you get your secondary class and you gain the subclass' ability as a seperate ability on your loadout. So you can roll with two abilities at once. It's a nice touch.

Yes and also players aren’t made aware that each archetype has a unique passive that is only made active for whichever archetype is slotted as the main. Your main slotted archetype will level up much faster than your sub; an important detail to consider when you max out an archetype and want to continue to run with it.
@Callmedonks
@Callmedonks Жыл бұрын
 Your main does not level faster than your secondary. They get an even 50/50 split. If you have a maxed out archetype, the sub gets 100% of the XP. One doesn’t level faster than the other. *Edited for clarity*

I thought you don't need 10 points but just need the items to make the class. For example buy the item, get the materials & create the endgram for the archetype you want & equip it. No need for 10 points... well that's what I thought.

I started this just like 3 or 4 days ago. I played about 4.5 hours over 2 days and had buyers regret. I tried again 12 hours later and instead of throwing my lifeless corpse at 3 hard situations in the game over and over I noticed something... I saw the "reroll campaign/world" button. I clicked it. No regrets. Suddenly I had more content to explore. It even put me in a different world type. I started doing better. From in game progression and from getting more accustomed to the game mechanics. Of note: scraps, traits and iron were spawned on the ground again into this new world, just like the first world. So, it's a great way to build up your traits, iron and scrap inventory. I got far in that second roll but not far enough. I was held back again. I decided to reroll again and try a higher difficulty. I explored that for a bit because forged iron seemed more common (could be because of my equipped weapons being upgraded more thoroughly though). I reset again. Now I'm in that first world type again on basic difficulty. I figure that eventually I'll be improved enough to beat a world. Treat the game like a roguelike or a dark souls/elden ring style game and your mindset will improve. Laugh when you die. Don't get mad, progress and then get even. Approach the challenge differently. Swap your armor to block their element. Get a consumable that covers them in oil and then set them on fire. Get a consumables that makes them bleed over time and just outlast them. Etc. End result: No more buyers regret. I'm even considering the DLC pass now.

Happy someone mentioned not leveling up weapons too fast, although it wasn't for the reasons I was thinking of. Leveling up weapons too fast basically locks you in the weapons you're playing with. It'll be much more frustrating to realise you want to try out something different and not really being able to do so without leveling weapons (you might even decide not to use) upto level 19

Quick note for anyone trying to play a Hardcore character Don't do Scripted Deaths, just lost a character trying to do a thing on Yaesha where you're meant to die to some enemies to teleport somewhere else. Revived in the new location but the save was glitched, inventory screen shows character as dead, and you can't Exit the game even if you're in Ward 13. Alt+F4ing and relaunching the game shows your character is completely dead and you can't continue it.

Yea I was too. I heard it was supposed to be 85 trait point point so I was surprised it maxed at 60. But because of all the rings, mods and mutators you really don’t need more than that. I literally just made a melee build that pretty much makes me immortal in veteran mode. If I had 20 more trait points it’d be over kill. Not to mention that’s exactly what people complained about in the first game.

@@2ndexplosivebullet I didnt play the first one at all, just bought Rem2. the selling points for me was its a souls like with guns, and that you can just over spec yourself like other games with skill trees. Plus your archetype Traits use up a bunch of them, and if you want to max hp and stamina that's 20 more. I am betting they will bump the cap up with dlc, but I'm still disappointed in it- I may be an outlier, but I enjoyed the limitless progression of the first game.

Remnant is so underrated. Its a Gamers game. the game gamers want. the game we deserve. Souls games are a dime a dozen now a days, Souls itself is so overhyped, and while Remnant isnt as difficult (it's not trying to be and there's difficulty options), its every bit as good and as intricate as a Souls game and really deserves every bit as much hype and attention.

The only other thing I would add for resource efficiency is to just bash a bunch of items in the game as you come across them. There's so many objects in the worlds that when destroyed drop scrap and iron. If you stop for a bit and just bash the heck out of things you can take home a lot more scrap/iron from a dungeon or world before you port back. Oddly/Sadly enough when you get to the world with people frozen in ash, yes even they drop that stuff if you break them.

You got this brother. Your going to be dominating the root in no time. This game is incredible. Just remember if you run into a boss or a piece of content that just feels too tough. Memorize their attack patterns. If you still have trouble leave and go do something else. Get a little more power and a few more items and come back and try again. Don't let it frustrate you too much and keep plugging away because this game is absolutely fantastic. It delivers so much more than most AAA games and it doesn't even cost full price. These are the type of developers the community should be supporting.

I wasn't too sure about the game early on, because honestly the tutorial story section was completely garbage. But after thirty hours, this is already my favorite game of the year. It is unfortunate that there are puzzles requiring more than one person, because my only gaming friend said he wouldn't play with me because he thought it looked "too repetitive". He has 2000 hours in Fortnite and 500 in Fortnite Save the World. So far I've been solo and had a blast.

Brand new to the game, never played any of these. I started got thru the intro, got to town, found stone, but im kinda lost from there I go thru stone and just bounce around but I dont see a quest or any direction to where im supposed to be.

I've seen a few of these "I wish i knew" videos and no one is mentioning you can sell stuff to your friends store or vice versa. So if you have a lot of a material you can share it. You can also use that to do the ol' dark souls duping trick

I’m really surprised at how many of these REMNT 2 vids discuss how little scrap and upgrade materials are in the worlds. All u have to do is kill a world boss then constantly re-roll the adventure. You’ll find unlimited resources and trait points.

This game combines everything I love and nothing I hate so far. FFXI-type job system, first person view, excellent graphics, REAL replayable content, grind worth doing, has it all. I hate Dark Souls games but playing this, I haven't cursed once when I died, only laughed.

why u hate dark souls? i got to all soulsborne games after palying the first Remnant and felt so greatful to "find" them. Except ds2, that one can go to hell.
@ADadSupreme
@ADadSupreme Жыл бұрын
@@jukka1135 I don't like the finality of the gameplay. Humans aren't perfect so I don't like games that go against that grain. You get punished by something as little as poor player skill to poor developer coding. This game is extremely forgiving in that you don't have to be 'perfect' to beat a boss... or anything. You can be almost as sloppy as you like in 90% of the game. Even the easiest mode isn't actually 'easy' but it's manageable and fun. DS, Elden Ring and games like never are. Reminds me of WildStar; complicated and fun enough for the 1% good enough to skill out, too punishing and ridiculous so screw everyone else.
@jukka1135
@jukka1135 Жыл бұрын
@@ADadSupreme What you mean by finality of the game play? Otherwise I think I get what you are saying, but in my mind the difficulty isnt that different. Biggest difference is that ranged fighting gives you much more options what comes to movement. I dont consider myself a remarkable gamer - I just dont mind having to learn enemies if the fights are well done and I find enjoyment in the challenge. I had to use walkthrough guides (Fighting cowboy) for my first souls games and actually see how I should tackle these games. It's not the best way to play those games since the adventure and getting through an unknown environment are awesome part of those games, but thats what I needed to do to really learn and appreciate how well done the combat actually is.

Biggest tip, Remnant is about exploration, finish ur campaign without checking videos of "how to unlock X". . . if u end up missing something, most of the places u can go once u finish the campaign, plus u ill probably play a lot of adventure mode, or a new campaign and revist them. . . so take it splow and enjoy

50 weight actually counts as Medium, not Heavy. I set my armor as high as possible without going over the Medium cap. I recommend doing it for the Encumbrance cap you want to play in. This will maximize your defenses.

An other not so obvious: sometimes you don't have to dodge at all, most melee attacks doesn't track the player perfectly, so you can ADS-dodge them. This goes for SOME projectiles as well, though the faster the projectile, the less likely it is to work.
