tip for everyone, chairs like the one you see at 19:29 are also breakable for even more scrap (and iron). it's a good idea to break as much (usually wooden) stuff as possible as it will supply you with lots of scrap and iron, especially if you're wearing the adventurers gear set that you have on at the very beginning of the game

hunting rifle has almost exactly the same range as the coach, Coach guns like a 15 meter range I think the hunting rifles 18.the hunting rifle is really only good if your setup for crits it doesn't do as much damage as the coach. it's the scrapper who doesn't have any long-range ability with a shotgun either way the the repeater pistol is also really a pretty decent starting weapon and it's on all three characters.what you should be spending those crap you just collected on is the hot shot mod from McCabe so that you can put it on your primary weapon because that will be a huge boon the clearing out elites and when you get to the first boss

A Sword is a Weapon, a gun is like a Pistol, Rifle, etc etc Both are Weapons, but Guns need Powder and Projectile

Yeah you're only half-right they're the reason they say to pick him is because of the trait. the mod you can buy from McCabe as soon as the beginning segment is finished just like you can buy the armor from the rigs. Ultimately it's not too hard to get all 3 class specific traits but starting out with spirit is the best start you're going to get

Also before you've continued on put the adventure suit back on.enemies are going to run into when you first start out aren't that toughand you don't need a lot of mod power at the beginning till you get to boss so wearing that adventure suit will let you generate a lot more scrap and a lot more materials

In my many years of MMORPGs I have learned that Spellcasters are the best, ranged are 2nd best and melee characters get screwed. Once you get enough points you can do a melee build if you are good are I frame dodges. and some gear that heals based on damage you do. Wolverine claws are fun! Cheers!

mods the gear and the guns for each class from Riggs and McCabe. the only thing you can't get before you start your adventuring is the trait. so your choice of a new character creation archetype should simply be based on that trait oh and the starting stats are different for each archetype as well.

Well I'm convinced. with the new armor changes I started a character couple days ago. Play it all the way through Earth to the dragon. I really didn't have any problems except the subway was a little troublesome. I haven't upgraded at all except for traits. And I am currently under level ed at the dragon. and I didn't have any hydro but I decided to try it anyway and then one try I got him down to like a quarter of his last health bar . So the changes to the hunter suit are definitely powerful

I made the mistake of level up weapons too much but I did level my armor as well.

Actually enemies only become aware of you if you're inside their awareness range when you do something. if you're standing outside of the awareness range of three or four critters you can shoot each one of them in turn they won't know you're there. Again you should be choosing your character archetype based on the trait and the starting stats for each archetype. Or just picked the one that looks best to you because it really doesn't matter. I mean seriously if you want to play ranged take the hunter if you want to play a run-and-gun character take the x cultist. If you want to play Melee character take the scrapper. as I said previously the mods gear and guns are for sale at McCabe and Riggs as soon as you start up the crystal. The traits you'll get later when you go into each event that grants them

yes it will respond but you wanted to respond because the more times you kill it the more scrap you collecting scrap is hyper importing you're going to spend a lot of scrap and you should almost immediately go back to McCabebecause I believe at this point you can go back and buy the hot shot mod for shotgun I think you can do that before you even go out into the world.and some would say swap that scrapper hatchet thing for the hunter sword it's faster. More reach and has better combo

Enemies become aware because of your distance from them not because you kill something around them. with high enough awareness you can literally stand off in the distance outside their detection range and kill each and every one of them. Which is useful for a small percentage of the game. What much of what you're going to be doing is in sewers and dungeons on the first biome where you'll be rushed by hordes and awareness it's not really a consideration.

Don’t upgrade your gear too high. Enemy scaling is done by your gear/ weapons level. This makes it hard to use new weapons you encounter. If your gear is on level 8 and you find a new gun, for it to be effective it has to be level 8. Only upgrade your gear if you absolutely have to. Trait-level doesn’t scale up the enemy levels. So that can be 1 or a 1000 and it won’t scale the enemies.

yeah that's not how it works either dude it adds up all six pieces of gear it divides that number by 6 and then it adds one that's how gear score is determined. then when you enter a new zone or you reroll a zone it takes that number which you can only see for some reason on the login screen and adds one to that so if your total gear score is six your actual gear score is going to be +2 but the creatures you're going to face in the next zone you enter will be + 3

The whole balancing part of this game is what I don't like. The game doesn't let you feel powerful. It always levels the enemy above you. No matter how much you upgrade your gear. Then as you gain new weapons and gear you have to wait to use those until you level them up or you will be severely underleveled because the game bases the difficulty on your gear level whether it's equipped or not. So basically with the elites and bosses you always feel underleveled

Just got this game. The first boss gorfist is like impossible to solo. I tried for a hour and go to his last bar and died to the bomb monsters. Very frustrating.

Yeah when you don’t know the game mechanics he is really hard. You basically have to dodge roll right when he is in mid swing. The blow up guys are super annoying as well. Use the terrain and run around upstairs. Mace on light armor to move and dodge faster. Lastly use the consumables before you enter to give you rot resist. Cheers!

I just killed him....literally had zero problems and it was done in no time.... Started Ex Cultist, for Spirit trait. Im wearing 2 hunter pcs and 1 Cultist. I used adrenaline shot before I went in, using an smg with that heal mod the ex cultist starts with, and a Shotgun with Hotspot...absolutely murdered him. None of my gear or weapons are upgraded. No need to upgrade until the game forces you to for area requirements. Start Ex Cultist and just buy whatever weapons amd armor you want to use. I also got the braided ring or whatever so that helps lol

Just bought the game today, done everything required to allow myself and my friend to join each other to play the game and there is nothing else i can do as everything both me and my buddy have done to try joining each other to play remnant has and is not working. So if your on PS4 and wanna play it with a friend i would recommend not paying for it since its multiplayer joining just does not allow you to join a known friend or a known friend to join you at all right now!!! Tried everything done everything and the join a FRIEND just does not work. It will however let you join on random people who you dont know and have never met, but will not allow you to play with a friend that you actually know

The Vaniverse Gaming, so since posting ive figured out a little more info. To join a friend you have to select to play your game public if a friend is going to join you or your friend has to start their game in public. If you start the game in “friends only this will not allow you to be seen when your friend is trying to join you!!. What you need to do is start your game in public mode, same for your friend if you wish to join them but if your joining them you then go to the browse public games, “not search friends” but public games then hit browse, search the list of live public games and if your friend is not there then try browse again until you find the friend your wanting to play with and your good to go!! The issue with this though is that if you wish to play with only your friends then due to having to open your party to public you may end up having an unknown other joining your party when you dont want to play with unknowns, its easy enough to remove them from the party but it is bothersome. I hope the devs know about this issue and attempt to fix it in the near future as this would be an almost perfect 10 if they fixed the join a friend coop joining features. Hope this shines a little more light onto the problem were having over here on ps4 with joining friends.
