i'd like to agree, but remnote is still a linear note taking app. Mindmaping and non-linear notes will always be best for encoding and to reduce the amount of cards needed.

Honestly, I don't pay a great deal of attention to AI generated content - I have run into too many false results / false replies. If you can convince me of a new level of information soundness and integrity, I would welcome that. And, Martin, I really do appreciate all the hard work that has been put into RemNote. I actually am grateful for Quality over Quantity. Unfortunately, AI has yet to demonstrate consistent Quality in its replies. Thank you for this Video. Sincerely, John M.

Will the insights come from your own data or AI? I really need RemNote to use my own data whenever possible. Why? I'm studying bleeding edge content that changes rapidly - if the answer comes from the knowledgebase the AI was trained on versus what's in my notes, then the answers will be misleading and incorrect - but appear logical and therefore "trick me" into believing the wrong answer. This obviously cannot happen. My suggestion - have RemNote create embeddings for all of my content, store them in a vector DB, and then utilize vector DB queries to inject context into your AI insight and AI tutor. But in any case, can you confirm how this works currently please?

The "AI Create Cards" feature currently pulls from the LLM directly. We're exploring a vector setup like the one you're mentioning though! How many sources would you want to add here? Would you be okay with specifying specific sources / PDFs in your KB to add as context, and having it pull from them automatically?

Thanks for the reply @@RemNote and that's really great to hear that you're working on that. For a first iteration, perhaps just being able to mention content - like @[rem|document|url|pdf] so that I can include multiple sources would be great. In the future though, it would be nice if the agent used the comprehensive knowledge from our content. I understand that this could get complicated fast. As a Senior Software Engineer with a keen interest in agentic systems, I'm happy to join you in your discussion/brainstorming sessions. My original plan was to develop a plugin that facilitated this capability, and I've been exploring various ways to achieve this - perhaps using a mixture of experts approach. That's hard enough but I found another difficult problem with an agentic approach is latency. Anyhow, I'm open to collaborating or participating in the discussion if you'd like.

What you guys do is simply amazing, BUT, we need canvas / mindmap features similar to the word of Dr. Justin Sung, heptabase, scrintal, traverse. Visual notes > linear notes, and would be the perfect compliment to remnote

7/10, The AI flash card is game changing, but I really HATE the fact that you have to pay double to essentially use it (20 USD), because the 1K ai points that comes with the premium option runs out like water, even if you accidentally hit the AI generate flash card it still uses the points. if you're thinking of buying the premium option just for the AI flashcards. DONT. I really hope the creators actually listen to this huge issue, 1k is not enough it should come completely free with the premium option, don't be a money hungry company, because that will be the end of it, a company will come eventually come with the infinite AI option and you guys will lose this leverage.

I already have a subscription with OpenAI and would like to continue using the API from my personal account to keep generating AI cards. This option was available until a week ago, but now I can't find it in the settings. Are you going to remove the option to use a personal API for AI features within RemNote?

The API option was experimental and temporary. It won't be available anymore since RemNote uses different AI providers, allowing it to use a more-powerful and more-optimized model. - RemNote Support Team

I‘m a long time user, been using Remnote for over 4 years now. I get that you need to go with the time but it makes me sad that the Performance needs to suffer for ai answers because people cant write some stuff in their own words. Feels Like Remnote used to be twice as fast and Not laggy

Goodnotes utilises one credit for each inquiry, and they supply 500 credits, allowing a person to use AI 500 times every month. Remnote utilised 70 credits to turn a 10-line paragraph into flashcards. For utilising AI features, the subscription plan will not be adequate.

Even with a subscription plan, you can't fully utilise AI functions. Please supply more AI credits or offer a separate price plan for unlimited AI usage. Even with a present paid membership, I will only be able to utilise AI for three days work in every month.

exactly they're capitalizing on this AI credit too much, I found a loophole tho, I just ask chat gpt to make me the flashcards instead, works as good as the actual AI integrated into remnote.
