Remortgaging To Consolidate Debt - Remortgage Process UK 2022

When you're considering remortgaging and you're doing so for debt consolidation a lot of people are doing this simply because they've extended either loans or credit cards and consolidating that debt into a mortgage can be a good idea for some, but it's something you need to look at very very closely.
Now, if you're in a position where those debts are just taking up too much capital every month and all you're doing is paying off vast amounts of interest then it may be the right thing for you to do.
So yes, you can remortgage for debt consolidation, so long as you have enough equity in the property that will allow you to increase the borrowing that you have, and still be able to afford to pay it off for retirement or in a reasonable period that is acceptable for both you and the lender.
