2022 Skidoo Skandic 900 ACE SWT and 2002 Skidoo Skandic 500F SWT attempt to break trail in interior Alaska to a remote cabin. The snow was insanely deep and the sugary texture was very unforgiving. It was Super Wide Track territory for sure.

I feel your pain. That's a lot of snow and scary in the dark. Good video though. GoPro batteries do kinda suck. We've been switching to the insta 360 and the battery life is amazing.

So why were you running in the trees at a slower pace when you could have run on the banks much faster and staying on top ?

Overflow was pretty bad this year and once you’re breaking trail that river could have overflow under it that you may not see. Also this trail deteriorates as spring gets closer. The less I cross the river the more likely the trail lasts into spring.
