Or how about the implementation of promoting the use of public transportation, platforms which carry a few dozens at a time. Resulting in the use of less amount of vehicles and prompting the use of a single vehicle that carries multiple amounts of the public.

Great oncept. But driving one of these you have to be careful not to drive through a tunnel or sort of. Signal strength in there could be pretty limited. Maybe combine such vehicles with autonomous technology to let the computer react in case of complete signa loss or dangerous situations to aid the remote driver.

Imagine if you will... You order a car which is remotely piloted to your location. You take control of the car to drive it to your destination, while on the road, a Hacker takes control of the car and drives you into oncoming traffic at fullspeed. No way would I be happy driving a car that literally any bad actor could take control of and cause mayhem with me in it. The only thing worse than this would be full self driving cars, where you sit in the back and it chauffers you.

The technology might be cool in theory but unless it’s for a taxi or delivery service I don’t see the point. Most people drive to get from A to B. And this might not be as safe as you’d think. I try to drive very carefully in real life but likely a maniac in video games. Even if this isn’t a game, I’d likely be less careful if I’m watching it through a screen because I’m still less attached than if I were physically there. Not to mention the added complexity of laws and responsibilities for this.

Undoubtedly, the inherent peril lies in the realm of human behavior. Has anyone ever attempted to drive responsibly in GTA 5? While some may make the effort, they inevitably succumb to a growing sense of complacency. Admittedly, with stringent supervision and vigilant surveillance, this approach could potentially yield results. However, there are additional concerns to consider, such as the vulnerability to cyber attacks. Is it conceivable that a collective of willing hackers could maliciously steer the vehicles towards innocent pedestrians?

Cool concept, I can see this having an educational purpose but not something i would want to see in practical use. I would have hit him if I didn't shout, quicker more instinctive intuitive than using a horn. And the side views don't look like they go back enough on the video is there a blind spot behind the driver side? Looks like it be better off with virtue reality goggles something like the PlayStation VR.

Why all the negative thoughts....?? Autonomous driving, also known as self-driving or driverless technology, offers several potential benefits that make it a compelling concept for the future of transportation. Here are some reasons why autonomous driving is being explored and developed: 1. **Safety:** One of the primary arguments for autonomous driving is its potential to significantly reduce traffic accidents caused by human error. Human drivers can be prone to distractions, fatigue, and errors in judgment, which can lead to accidents. Autonomous vehicles, with their advanced sensors, real-time data processing, and quick reaction times, have the potential to greatly enhance road safety. 2. **Reduced Traffic Congestion:** Autonomous vehicles can communicate with each other and the surrounding infrastructure to optimize traffic flow. This could lead to smoother traffic patterns, reduced congestion, and more efficient use of roadways. 3. **Improved Efficiency:** Autonomous vehicles can potentially drive more economically, optimizing routes and driving patterns to conserve fuel or energy. This could have positive environmental and economic impacts by reducing fuel consumption and emissions. 4. **Increased Accessibility:** Self-driving technology has the potential to provide mobility solutions for individuals who are unable to drive due to age, disability, or other reasons. This can enhance their quality of life and independence. 5. **Productivity and Convenience:** Autonomous driving can free up the driver's attention and time, allowing occupants to engage in other tasks during their commute, such as working, reading, or relaxing. This can make travel more productive and enjoyable. 6. **Reduction in Parking Demand:** Autonomous vehicles can drop passengers off at their destinations and then proceed to parking areas located further away, optimizing the use of parking spaces and potentially reducing the demand for parking infrastructure in urban areas. 7. **Cost Savings:** While the initial cost of autonomous technology may be high, proponents argue that over time, autonomous driving could reduce the overall cost of transportation. For instance, by lowering accident-related expenses, optimizing fuel consumption, and potentially reducing the need for personal vehicle ownership. 8. **Optimized Traffic Management:** Autonomous vehicles can interact with traffic management systems to coordinate and optimize traffic flow. This can lead to more efficient use of roads and reduced traffic bottlenecks. 9. **Ridesharing and Mobility as a Service:** Autonomous vehicles could facilitate the growth of ridesharing and mobility-as-a-service models, where people can subscribe to transportation services rather than owning individual vehicles. This could help reduce the number of vehicles on the road, leading to decreased congestion and emissions. 10. **Innovation and Technological Advancement:** The development of autonomous driving technology has spurred advancements in various fields such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor technology, and connectivity. This innovation can have broader implications beyond transportation. Despite these potential benefits, it's important to acknowledge the challenges associated with autonomous driving, including regulatory and legal hurdles, technological limitations, ethical considerations, and public acceptance. Striking a balance between the benefits and challenges will be crucial as society navigates the transition to an autonomous driving future.

When the guy tried to explain what was “important” he said lots of words but made ZERO POINTS. There is nothing important, or progressive about this when you consider the millions being spent on self driving technology. In comparison to self driving technology, this is a huge step backwards. Pointless.

i thought self driving is the future Ai and Machine learning. Why do you need to remote control it. Run a map and let it drive itself to destination
