Technically it's a full RemoteID implementation. Put a GPS on it, configure it properly and it's the same as all other modules out there.

As an European, what is that new remote ID law, and what's exactly the problem that is "solved" here?
@Inertia88810 ай бұрын
It's mainly for experimental purposes, and designing, as far as he wrote in Git. But since it does allow the pilot to make a fake position showing where the pilot is, even though the real pilot may be elsewhere. So if a pilot does not want some nosy stranger to come and start conflict, (such as interfering with that pilot, during a flight) that potential nosy person will look at their RID App, and see the fake pilot location, and if they choose to go and confront the pilot, they will not find the real pilot. This may be considered a safety measure for the pilot, if that pilot has had issues with unwanted confrontation from people abusing the RID App. IMO, FAA-Approved RID should come standard with the option to not broadcast the position of the pilot's location.

Why would anyone want to spoof RiD?
@Inertia888 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't need to be about spoofing. No matter what the title says. First we learn how things work, then some of us end up creating a better thing.

I got nothing against remote id it self. But that a normal civilians on there smartphone. Can see where i'm stand can harass me if they want. That is what I don't like. I got no problem with police or the aviation. Because I don't break the rules I don't fear that.
