What was snapping @ 3:48 ???? It looks as if you bust it.

Nothing broke, but it does click when the diff lock engages - it is a very basic 2 pin mechanism. I’m currently lengthening the wheel base and putting the chassis under the slightly larger lexan proline Jeep JK body (closer to 1/8 scale opposed to the yellow one which is more like 1/9) as I think that the wide stance and big tyres that these wide axles force me to have will go better with this. So far it’s looking good. I’ll try and post another video in a few days on this.

@@RCModders So thats not a piece of plastic that fell off the truck along with that snapping noise? I'm confused where that came from
@RCModders4 жыл бұрын
zebra man not sure - might have been a bit of scrap plastic or dirt in the tyre treads. looks like there was more of whatever that was lying around on the carpet. Definitely wasn't anything breaking on the car. (this time 😂)

How does the mechanics work in the diff love to do this mod

+Adam Lauzon a sliding ring with two pins slides along one of the axles and engages with the diff if I remember correctly. If you look up the venom creeper manual here www.planet-rc.ch/images/pdf/venom-creeper-rock-crawler-manual.pdf it might help explain it.

Why would you want to just lock 1 diff at a time? I would say it works better to lock both in the same time when needed. When stuck you want to get out as easy as possible. Now you lock the front and when the back wheels come to the obstacle they start to spin. You need to stop again. Fidle with the buttons to switch the lock from front to back. Make mistakes now and then. Climb the object and un lock

+dextersxxxxlab all true, but part of the fun. I tend to only use one end or the other when I need it. In the forest I usually just lock both ends.
