Curious as to how you calculated that, as there are numerous range calculators that put line of site with that radio as upwards of 50km with the stock antenna gain and even as far as 74.11km without a significant change in antenna gain. The radio company website lists up to 35 miles line-of-site here: rockytalkie.com/products/5-watt-radio Please provide your references and calculations so that we can make any required corrections.
