On paper the specs may not look as impressive as a more current model, but bear in mind that most (I would say 90%+) is consumed via a 6” or 7” display I would say the average viewer will not tell (or care!) what the difference is.

Yeah, I've recorded videos on great cameras and not so great cameras, and it doesn't seem to have much impact on how well the video does. But, I do prefer when the quality looks decent, and I love working with various (and better) equipment.
