The sink fell off? No problem. You can mount it back within 10 minutes and the cost is less than $10
The loctite PL 3x stronger adhesive was purchased at a local Home Depot

Awww thank u! Yeah it dropped like it was hot and i didn’t have time to fix it. Hence, i jacked it up temporarily until i have the time. Pls don’t over jack it which can cause dent to your sink. Good luck and thanks again for stopping by and leaving us your comment 🥰

I think all sinks should be "drop in" as part of the building code requirement. A lot of dumb plumbers just glue in sink without support & when it drops (with full of water), it is disastrous. That happened to me. I was so mad when I realized it wasn't braced or supported at all. Tells me a lot of plumbers are just plain stupid, shouldn't be plumbers. At least support it with a 2x4 or something.

Trust me, the liquid nailing blocks from the bottom WILL eventually "let go" and your sink WILL fall; my sink was put up this way many years ago, 10-12, and wanna guess why i'm looking at this video? It did hold for a good number of years, but we all know when everything fails lol. Have read and appreciate many good ideas in here and will be using a couple; ill be using the fuze-it to put the blocks back up and will then measure and cut boards to screw up under the sink horizontally from end to end, using L brackets on the ends of the boards and screwing them boards under the blocks to "secure" the blocks in place; this way, I have the best of two ideas and doubt my sink will ever fall again...when I'm "least ready for it to fall" lol. Then ill use the 100% silicone to seal the gaps on the topside where the sink and counter meet.

Hi Tracy. Thank you for stopping by and feedback. Yeah the block was a dumb idea by the builder. Gluing it back wont do any good but the key to this is the boards. That will make it last a longggggg time 😘 . You looked at the video to see if I did anything dumb but i am sure you satisfied after watching it 😝

Hello there! I am another under the counter sink-sag “experiencer”, lol. Just a note, I see you have mounting clips under the counter on each side of the sink, but you did not use them. If the clips were used, then the wood supports you made would not be necessary.

Hello Hubbit. Thank you for stopping by and leaving us a comment. There were mounting clips the builders used, but guess what? LoL they did not do a good job. The correct way is to cut into the granite so the clip can clip in, but instead they just glued the clips onto the granite and sink 🤦‍♂️. This house was built in 2006 when the housing market was booming and builders just wanted to build and sell. My wood support has been working so well and i am happy with the result 🥰

@@hubbitgray9427 i am very well aware of this. My first fix when it happened was to glue it back and lasted only a year then fell off again. It was clued onto the granite by the builder 🤦‍♂️

Thank you for stopping by. The builder did not mount it well. They glued the undersink to the granite with adhesive. It has been the same since the day i fixed it. If you don’t have a good support for your undersink then I encourage you to build a support before it is too late.

undermount sink sucks tbh. I got one and it's just bad design overall. Nothing is supporting it but the epoxy.
@TKBlog

Cant agree more. It looks good but if someone did not build a good support before then this will be the issue
@spicydogsoup
@spicydogsoup 3 жыл бұрын
@@TKBlog i mean even the sink it self doesn't have anything that you can bolt on or something that you can latch a bracket on for support. You have to rely on the epoxy strength or buy some brackets for it. You got to always watch what you put in the sink. Too much and it just crash. With the top mount the sink is automatically supported never fail.

it looks nicer with the infinity edge. Overtop is more reliable that is for sure but just doesn't look as nice. I think if it's well mounted it would work really well but if you rely on a contractor to do it they do a shit job.

Obviously it was done badly by our builder that is why I had to suffer and ended up doing a quick, cheap fix and share this video with anyone who may have the same problem.
