Just bought this gouge! It has arrived and can't wait for tomorrow morning to give it a whirl.

How cool! What made you decide to try them out? Like I mentioned in the video, only sharpen for as long as it takes to get a keen edge. I see people grinding for way too long and removing too much steel. Keep me posted on how it goes! Kezza

Good video, Kezza. It was nice to see how those tips are replaced. About how long does a tip usually last? Could you include a link to their website? Looking forward to you next videos

Thanks, mate. I can't give you an exact time frame for how long they last, but I’d say for me, it's around a year and a half-and as you know, I turn nearly every day. This is there website mate. www.woodcut-tools.com/

@@KerryCorney Thanks, mate. The unhandled looks like a good deal since I could make my own handles. That way, I not only save a bit of $$ but I can make one to fit my hands and the length I like.

Extra length for a worn out tip in a few minutes... surprised they don't sell more! ;)

hahah exactly brother. Cheers mate

Do you suppose the lack of elbow pain was due to the mass of the tool absorbing vibration? Or do you think it was something else?
@KerryCorney4 ай бұрын
Absolutely, mate. The tool really cuts down on a lot of that vibration. I didn’t want to keep going on about how much I like them-I didn’t want to come off as too salesy. Thanks for checking out the video and leaving a comment, mate. Cheers. Kezza
