Quite remarkable! It's stuff like this that raise my spirits for some of those lesser quality books in my collection. I'm going to have to make that step and see what you have to offer...

Similar to other methods, the stains reactions to the blue light are not always consistent. Sometimes there is a dramatic whitening of a stain or foxing. And sometimes there is little change. Sometimes the reaction is a slow fade of the stain over longer exposure times, and sometimes the stain just sort of does a quick fade away in a short period as you experienced. I think it depends on the nature of the stain, and the comic books life experience - hot cold, damp, etc.

Fantastic as always! You said you used a 6% Peroxide but you didn’t show the application… did you mask then spray with the mister ?
@ImmaculateComics Жыл бұрын
Hi Shawn, I’m not sure how the application didn’t make it into the video. I’ll have to talk to my photographer and video editor about that! Yes I did mask the book and then apple the peroxide just one time

When you clean with immuaclean do you still do a dry cleaning say with erasers, and absorbine or are you diving right in with immacuclean and only using that and only that?
@ImmaculateComics Жыл бұрын
It really depends on the book. Many times I only use immacuclean, but sometimes I have to use it twice or go back over the book with an eraser etc
@shawnconvey7323 Жыл бұрын
@@ImmaculateComics So you can (or could) use Immacuclean BEFORE using erasers and tools like that? I guess in the 100 or so vids I have watched online that has been one of my biggest questions is proper (or even possible) order of things... Like does it make sense to try to remove a dent or some creases with hand irons, balls and a full heat press before using dry cleaning just to see if you can get those types of defects out before you take the time to do all of that cleaning or BLED etc... I am looking forward to experimenting myself. 🙂

Hello. Quick question. I received an art piece in the mail, pencil on white cardstock, and unfortunately it was creased top to bottom down the middle during transit. Do you have any suggestions on how to save the piece, being a single sheet of paper? If anyone could chime in with some advice I'd greatly appreciate it!
@ImmaculateComics Жыл бұрын
Cardstock is tough. I wish I have a suggestion for you but it's impossible to say without having it in front of me. Can I suggest a simple cold press beneath something flat and heavy?

@@ImmaculateComics what if I sent you a couple pictures? see if you could give me a verdict. I'm worried about the pencil being ruined too

@8:26 looks like there is sort of stain on the "city" line of the yellow area. do you plan on removing that too?
@ImmaculateComics Жыл бұрын
There definitely is still a stain there but I’ve decided to not remove that stain. My experience and intuition suggest to me that I’d lose that yellow in that area if I tried. I decided discretion was the better part of valor in this case.

Whenever someone asks me Gwen or MJ, my answer is always Felicia.
@ImmaculateComics Жыл бұрын
Agreed. Gwen has never done anything interesting in the books. MJ is flighty and bossy, At least Felicia can handle herself and can understand Peter and spider-man both
