My wife has the exact same car, Silver 2017 Rouge Sport and I watched other videos of the person saying to "just wiggle" it out. Hell no you can't. I bought some plastic pry bars and they didn't work. Only thing that worked was the rope trick like you posted. I had to pull VERY hard while keeping my other hand on the assembly to prevent it from popping outwards. I finally got it out and it took me 10 seconds to replace the brake light. It is utterly ridiculous how hard they made it to replace those lights. I am sure it was a money grabbing thing to get you into the dealership to replace it. Absolutely no way my Wife could have done it by herself. Thanks for the vid!

The clip in the front is what makes it very difficult to remove. Only when I moved the rope to the middle of the tail light was I able to pull it off - with the rope providing leverage. Thanks very much. Nissan dealerships wanted to charge me $70 to change the bulb.

Thank you very much ! Helped me tremendously. Your technique works great, please triple remind people to tape around the tail light before removing (paint ships extremely easy). Also, it helped me having two people while removing, one person holding the tail light as it pops out, otherwise it could fly off the rope and slam down against vehicle. And the second person on the rope.

taking off this type of headlight is a pain in the ass , because of the clip in the front . I was scared that I was going to break the tail light but when I pulled it off I scratched the car a little bit

Great info. I found, using "Trim Removal Tools", which are made of plastic, helps. The rope helps tremendously, in the removal. 👏👍👏👍 @Nizar S
