Command J as you say, Control J for me I guess, duplicates the layer, it doesn't select it (5m22s). Fantastic! I wish I'd found this video a couple of days ago. Yesterday I had to remove a fence that was in front of a van (vehicle). I couldn't figure out how to do it, so I carefully painted the van color over the fence wires. I had to continuously sample the color of the van as it changed hue depending on the light source. But 4 hours later I finished it. If I'd have seen this video prior to my endeavor, I could have cut the time at least in half. Great tutorial sir!

Nice video. Just a little tip. you can drag (what you use the spacebar for) with the middle mouse button. Works with a pen too.

why do you use so many layers ?

rather than going through the last three processes, would not using the inpainting tool remove the left over fence and the shadows of the fence?

I just rewatched the video, because the last time was a while ago haha. And yea using the inpainting tool probably would’ve been way quicker! But in my opinion we’ve got a little more control over it like this :) If you have any other questions, or video suggestions. Let me know ! Thanks for watching

@@IAMRENSI maybe take the same image and try inpainting at the point suggested and let us know which was both easier and quicker. That would assist other users I think. TIA Oh, just thought too that for straight lines the click>shift>click is perfect for this particular image with inpainting also
