On the threads where the flex hose goes you don't need to put pipe dope on it. You only need to put it on the end that goes into the gas line.

RON! I JUST MOVED INTO A HOME THAT HAS PIPE SEALANT AROUND ON THE SHOWER HEAD THAT CONNECTS TO THE PIPE, THAT I WANT TO REMOVE AND PUT ANOTHER ONE ON. (SHOWER HEAD) HOW OR CAN I REMOVE THAT PIPE SEALANT?

While this install video was done well over a year ago My question to you is: The old cooktop had two clamps that were removed so the unit could be lifted out the new unit was dropped in with no instructions on how to secure it to the countertop Nor was any chalk used around the edges of the unit to seal it to the countertop Were any clamps provided with the new cooktop unit?

what i dont like is the knobs are in reach of children, that might want to look up onto the stove ,could easily turn on a burner .
