Excellent video. When you put back the doors after removing the oven to fix it, make sure that the 4 black washer head screws holding the door hinge slots are in place, in case you accidentally removed them when taking the oven out. Otherwise you'll never get the hinges to stay in place to hold the door right. Don't ask me how I know this.

Thank you! While following the directions in the Electrolux manual allowed me to get the door off, I could not get it back on. Ugh... how frustrating. The "reverse the procedure" instruction in the manual was worthless. Your video -- particularly the way you pointed out how that little notch on the hinge needs to rest in the receiver in the door -- made the whole process quite easy. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. One note: I have an entirely different Elextrolux (free staning model EW30DS65GS) but the doors are evidently identical since your instructions were exactly right.

Thanks. This helped a lot. I found that after the door was put back into the slot it took a reasonable amount of force to bring the door down so I thought the lock was binding or I might break it. However the door did go down and then I could move the lock to the lock position.

I don't yet have one, but was looking at ours the other day and noticed the inside of the glass needs cleaning - so I'll make one when we do that, but probably won't be before the end of May. I think someone else in the comments below had asked a few years ago about the same thing, and another commenter mentioned or provided a link to a video.

Hi, Melissa. I just cleaned my glass yesterday. It's a pain. You actually have to remove the door as shown in the video above. There are two screws through a rectangular bracket that holds the panes in place. You can actually see one of the screws at 1:03 in this video (top right). There are 4 panes of glass to clean, believe it or not. If you're still looking to do this, I can provide more info.

I know the video is 7 years old but fingers crossed questions are still answered. First, I love the video after an hour of struggling I found your video and in seconds realized the issue was me, lol. The little notch is the linchpin to the entire thing. So here is my question. I lock the hinges in then close the door and each time the door pops off before it closes and hinges are in the upright position. Is it possible the hinge receptacles are the issue?

Gary, I have only done this with my oven and have not run into that issue, but I will take a shot at an answer. I tried to recreate the problem but was not able to do so; the only thing I can surmise would cause the problem is not actually having the door hinge slot properly seated and the hinges not fully lowered. Assuming you did in fact have the door seated properly and the hinges fully lowered, then check to see if the receptacles are tight. There are two screws for each receptacle. Other than that I have no other options to offer. Once you get it figured out, I sure would be interested in hearing what the problem was and how it was resolved.

After removing the door and replacing it back i notice that the solf "velvet"closing is gone. The doors is much easy to push up and down and just slaps on oven. Where am i go wrong with it?

If you reinstalled the door according to the directions shown in the video, the door should close like it did before you first removed it.

That's works if you have those particular hinges. Unfortunately I do not. And the damn oven loses power when I close the door, but yet I have to hold the door closed for it to stay on... will never buy a Frigidaire/Electrolux product again. What a pile of steaming crap
