Applying mayonnaise to the area and letting it sit a few minutes before wiping off also works. Also Acetone does as well.

But how do I remove the stains from my teeth?
@SwitchAndLever10 жыл бұрын
Start with 150 grit sandpaper and work your way progressively at least to 1500 grit, 2500 would be better. Finish it off by chewing 0000 steel wool and rinse with shellack. 9 out of 10 dentists recommend it, it's a fact, I just made it up!

Can this work on a fire clay bathroom sink? I hate the brand logo on it but branding was fired to the sink itself. I'm hoping this method will rub it off
@SwitchAndLeverАй бұрын
It will not, that's not printed or painted on top but literally a part of the sink.

If you want to remove branding from aluminium, chrome etcetera, i always use lump sugar. No scratches on the actually surface.

+Switch & LeverDoes this method work on Mexican glass coka cola bottles?
@SwitchAndLever9 жыл бұрын
+Zach McIntosh No idea I'm afraid, it depends on the print. You'd probably need to use the polish, and not toothpaste, as the polish is a bit more aggressive.

looking for a way to get company labels off acrylic cups. Let me know if you've found a way that doesn't ruin the whole surface! Will definitely use this method on any future ceramic/metal cups!
@SwitchAndLever4 жыл бұрын
You can use this method on plastics without ruining it too, the only thing that will happen is that you will polish the plastic if the polishing compound you’re using is a little too aggressive (which is why you should start with toothpaste).
@ilovenoodles74833 жыл бұрын
Also, try using acetone on plastic/acrylic. Test a small spot first because sometimes it can end up looking cloudy

Hi do you know how to remove a label from DVD flims
@SwitchAndLever6 жыл бұрын
You cannot. The backside of the label forms a reflective surface which the DVD player needs to be able to read the data on the disc.

i really enjoyed your video of the clamp. What are the plans and dimensions as I would like to make some of these clamps CHOPPER316
@SwitchAndLever10 жыл бұрын
If you go to the page for that video (i.e. not this video) and look in the description you can find the full plans. The dimensions of the clamp I made do not match up with the dimensions in the plans however, so you have to adjust that to your own fitting. Thank you!

@@SwitchAndLever hmm, okay. i guess i believe you but why not?
@SwitchAndLever2 жыл бұрын
@@sonialoves444 acetone is a solvent, it dissolves (some paints, plastics, etc), the "paint" on this is essentially not paint, but a metal deposit. Imagine if you rub a piece of aluminium against the surface of a mug, and it leaves a residue of aluminium on the surface. Would acetone clean it off? No. Same principle holds here, but the deposited residue was made far more elegantly, and in the shape of a sports car.
@sonialoves4442 жыл бұрын
@@SwitchAndLever oh i see, i just didn’t realize there were such labels applied to something like a ceramic mug. i thought it was a durable paint of some type. amazing that you removed it with the toothpaste, great hack to know! wish i’d known sooner. thanks for explaining!
