Man half of the cut content was probably being saved for gta 6, go play red dead redemption 2 again to see how incredibly detailed everything is, how much smarter and more dynamic the npcs are compared to gta 5, assuming they’ve only improved technically since red dead 2’s release, gta 6 will probably be the first true next gen title of the current console era

Man honestly so sad to see great things getting cut during development,especially map expansions like Liberty city and North Yankton being accessible in free roam. It would have been so cool to PvP and explore liberty city in GTA 5/Online. And maybe rockstar could’ve expanded on these map expansions by adding heists to them wasted potential in my opinion. Rockstar could have done much more with GTA 5/online instead of adding generic online updates. The last 2 years has been the worst for GTA online the DLCS are of course getting smaller to bring the focus to gta 6 but still rockstar could make an interesting update to online instead of boring contact missions.

@@Dark.Syndicate it has, but it hasnt addad like a new heist (except the clucking bell heist) or vehichles, douring the last two years we have lost 100ds of vehicles, but gained maybe 30 vehicles, also the expanded edition, only being on ps/x-box is a really dissapointing thing, because many people dont want to spend 500 dollars on a ps5 just to drive faster, and get chameleon wraps, i think rockstar adds good/decent stuff, but they need to stop splitting ps/x-box and pc

I really doubt all of Liberty City would of been available to explore. I think it would have just been a mission where you fly out to a specific area in Liberty City. Maybe a restaurant to do a hit? Like in GTA:San Andreas when CJ flew out there to do a hit in an Italian restaurant

-You could still name your character in CNC, and customize it like in final game by selecting a parent, facial features etc, the police faction used codenames instead of actual names -The characters in the mockup CNC menus are placeholder -The images in the barber shops are unrelated, the only link are the head models which are already used in final game npcs -The "beta character names" aren't actually beta names, they were used only for casting call to keep the game secret, the only real beta name is "Ariano Sanchez" for Franklin Clinton -There is much more info about Agent Trevor than what was shown in the video -You mentioned cut weapons but somehow forgot about Assault MG -"Cut character that is talking to us that was replaced by Agent 14" That IS Agent 14, with early voice actor

There is so much minsinformation in this video it's insane, the thing that bothers me the most about those "8 cancelled dlcs" is that people don't even think for a second wether or not some of them even made it out of the prototyping stage! The only dlcs we have evidence that were once in production or further along was Agent Trevor and Norman (Not even sure about that one but it seems the only other dlc that is somewhat documented with leftover code or stuff in the files or source code). There is next to nothing to be found for LibertyV aside from the idea that it was in prototyping stage at one point and cancelled.(Not to forget the screenshot from a portfolio) The other dlcs could've just been ideas and nothing else other than a few sheet of papers in Rockstar's HQ with an unpolished script alonside concept art. Cops and crooks would be a big endeavor to cover in it's entirity considering how many times it got cancelled and keeping track wich is from what revision. Let alone the entire history of beta content discovered by the community. Looking at this video, it's really obvious TGG never once checked the "GTA5 BETA HUNT THREAD".

@@Drix7 You're correct on all of this, though Liberty DLC seemed to be made in some capacity too, of course we have that render but there is some code for it much like Agent and Norman, Agent Trevor is definitely the one that was developed the furthest, and we know nothing about Enterprise, Manhunt, Relationships and Prologue For all we know Manhunt "Pack" could've been just masks for all three protagonists and the rest is unknown, Prologue DLC has 0 leftovers so it was probably never started, although r* did create quite a lot of models for North Yankton that didn't end up in final, like female NY cops and such

@@HeySlickThatsMe Well we probably have a leftover of the Manhunt DLC , it's the "Please Stop Me" Mask in gtaonline. But it could've just been made from the ground up and not anything note worthy. I was convinced at one point that the underground casino podium interior portion they added as part of the latest update was a leftover from the old Casino Interior that was used for the Casino heist from the Agent Trevor Dlc and yet it had next to nothing related to it. It's really hard to know what is designed from the ground up and what is repurposed sometimes, because they could have just used it as an inspiration and slightly tweaked it a bit but with a compltely different texture and we will never know. I find it hard to believe that the underground podium interior wasn't reused for instance even tough there is no textures leftovers because the team working on gta online currently is very tiny compared to what it used to be. Most of what i said is pure speculation fundamentally but i figured it was interesting to point out.

@@Drix7 Yes I agree about the mask, I think it's from the scrapped manhunt pack which would be just cosmetic only, similarly they also wanted to have two other cosmetic packs, Clown outfit for Michael and Army outfit for Trevor but those got scrapped, they're not mentioned in the leaked source, at least not in the same place where the big DLC's are, there is some leftovers mentioning the clown outfit dlc though All casino interiors are new, it's easy to distinguish what's new and what isn't by texture prefixes, rockstar usually does not change the prefix unless the texture is modified, because they have a shared texture directory which is where the assets are pulled from For example the IAA facility, server farm and submarine interiors from doomsday heist dlc have v_cia_facility and v_sub prefixes when compared to for example the mount chiliad facility which is full of x17 (christmas2017, doomsday heist codename), you can also distinguish it by texturing methods if you know what to look for... All DLC's post import/export or so, have a flatter texturing style which is similar to modern physically based rendering games, even though GTA V doesn't have full PBR, the new DLC's have flatter textures in that style when compared to day one assets, or DLC's like heists etc, the story dlc was being worked on alongside heists so any assets left from it will have similar style If a texture starts with v_ or agt_ or agent_ or nxg_ then it's definitely from scrapped SP dlc

A lot of songs do seem to be cut but Slippin into darkness by war is In the game. I’m not sure if this song and others were added in updates but some songs on the list did make it into the game. I do get a lot of Mandela affect when it comes to a lot of cut radio Los Santos songs cause I could’ve sworn a lot of those songs were in the game at release that are not there anymore. I could be wrong tho, but those songs feel like they weren’t meant to be in the final version of gta5 considering the time era

I blame GTA 5's shortcomings on rockstar pushing it to be on the PS3 and Xbox 360. They had already released GTA 4, RDR1, and MP3 on that generation. But then, they realised that they could line up 3 years of sequential releases for the same game, and greed took hold. If this game had been made for the PS4 or XBone, GTA 5 would've been closer to the quality of RDR2.

Exactly I mean GTA 5 still goes toe to toe with rdr2 but if Rockstar Games didn't went for the money greed to push it on Xbox 360 and ps3 then it would have been much better but I think the reason was ps4 released at 2014 so if they wanted to put GTA 5 on ps4 then GTA 5 development would have started from 2014 and the game would have released around the time of rdr2 delaying the concept of GTA 6 and probably rdr2 too and I can't imagine a crappy game like gta4 to have survived so long they would have to milk it like they did with 5 but gta4 was nowhere as good as GTA 5 or rdr2 to be milked in the first place

I came across all sorts of GTA V beta content in 2015 2016 most shared on GTAForums the oldest build dates back to 2009 looked like GTA SA at first then GTA IV When the first trailer was released in Nov 2011 the map was still very unfinished... GTA VI has most likely been in production since 2014 the world is created first and the story is built around the setting so the story was scrapped in 2019/2020 GTA VI will have so much cut content

12:47 The social networking mission was almost certainly going to be for Devin Weston during the whole car boosting part of the game which ends with the crew getting screwed over in the mission pack man. At that same mission if I remember correctly there is a red stinger on the trailer which is the only car that isn't stolen during a mission in the final version of the game.

yes, Social Networking was meant to be the mission to steal that unexplained red Stinger you can see on the trailer in Pack Man, (at least according to Vadim M) the mission was to have the player using a fake identity of a "lady of the night" and set up an online date with Brucie from GTA 4 (yes, he's meant to return in GTA V way earlier than Diamond Casino), in order to steal his car

given the cut voicelines, Sharmoota Job might just not fit the game's tone, it was probably prototyped when GTA V was conceived as a more sarcastic and bombastic B-movie game (it still is a B-movie game, but to a less extent), although true, it could've also been a tutorial to buying houses, but doesn't that feel redundant when you've already been introduced to buying properties at the end of Nervous Ron?

Another note: The cops were supposed to be more advanced than they turned out to be, probably because of time constraints, but a few things left over in the files, but unused are: -NPC Busting (Cops were meant to be able to arrest random NPCs, voicelines and leftover animations for it) -Holding fire to attempt a bust at higher wanted levels (still happens when in cars tho) -Batons (They are still in cops inventory, but the cops have been given a flag to use their best weapon IE their gun, so they never use their baton) -Advanced SWAT (SWAT was meant to rush interiors while cops wait outside, this got disabled before release, but interiors still have the flag for it, causing SWAT to bug out and start despawning and their cars to have noone inside) -Patrolling cops, cops were meant to drive around the map, still happens around mission row PD, but it was supposed to be city-wide and even in Sandy Shores and Poleto Bay, sadly the feature (when re-enabled) is broken and only 1 cop spawns in the car, and they do not stop spawning after you gain a wanted level (as it should be, basing it off how GTA IV was).

I noticed rockstar has added more npcs outside buildings for example outside the cluckin bell warehouse theres employees with aprons and hair nets on which for sure were never there before....also in downtown some "businesses men" npc spawn outside office buildings to have a smoke break..also the sky sunsets have recently been a lot of pink,orange like GTA VI colors

Sucks so much we never got that single player DLC Steven is talking about Hopefully in GTA VI they actual make the story DLC both single player and multiplayer. Like you shouldn’t be able to log into Online to do a story mission and then just get griefed within a minute. Theres no way thats beneficial for the game btw. Like imagine logging into WoW and then getting attacked while idling in Stormwind. It’s sooo dumb rn(yeah you can opt out, but that kinda ruins the whole online part)

TGG You forgot to mention it in this video about the cut radio station in GTA 5, there's a another one cut radio and one cancel radio station alongside the PMR (Pre Millennium Radio), another one cut radio that play Surf Music was supposed appear in radio wheel in final version game is called "Santos Surf", the Radio logo of Santos Surf as you can see in GTA 5 Unused HUD Image by Steven Walsh and the radio code for Santos Surf was missing is "RADIO_GENRE_SURF" as "RADIO_10_GENRE_SURF"you can see in audio files in openIV. And there's a one cancellation radio station was supposed to be existing in GTA 5 before release in way back in 2012, the cancel radio that play "synthwave music" is called "Nightride FM"

Fun Fact: There's a nightclub called "The Bahama Mama's Club" which was going to be an accessible nightclub where you could do activities in similar to the Vanilla Unicorn or the Bar in Sandy Shores. I don't know the reason why it got cut but if you manage to glitch or use mods and get in the club you'll find it completely decorated with an NPC in the entrance. Would've been cool to see that!

When it comes to vehicle names, you missed ALOT Stirling GT is called feltzer3 in the files Retinue has some textures named cossie RE7B was gonna be the LE7B Elegy Retro Custom is called elegy in the files while the RH8 is elegy2 Roosevelt was originally gonna be called btype Vacca was originally gonna be veloce Adder was originally Venem The Ratloader was originally Rattruck according to its texture file before that became its own vehicle Zion was originally gonna be called Seraph according to its light texture name The injection was originally called bfinjection according to its data, this won't be a surprise to fans of the franchise Beejay XL badges call it the "BJ XL" minor change but still a change Cognoscenti Cabrio was originally called the Cog Cabrio according to an unused website description The Tailgater was originally gonna be the Sentinel according to its Taillight texture name Also not a beta name but the Itali GTO Stinger TT is just called stingertt possibly meaning that it was its original name although, thats unconfirmed

At 3:45, the only baseball logo I personally recognize is BETA02. Which at the time GTA 5 was in development and released, that would've belonged to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, now called just the Los Angeles Angels (but they're still located in Anaheim). But I still call them by 2 previous names that I knew them by while growing up. The California Angels and the Anaheim Angels. Just my input. I'm sure someone can identify 1 and 3

I think They made a massive mistake by cutting out being able to buy a house offline, BOO HOO. once the main game has been completed there's not much else left to do, You can only buy certain Businesses With certain character's Which i think would have been better if any of the characters could have done so, And i still think they could have introduced fuel usage like they did in Mafia, When your in a car chase it was Awsome, The car just gives up on you, And you have to find another ride, Gives the game more depth of realism. Anyway great video pall.

The Retinue being called the Cossie would have been the closest Rockstar has ever flown to the sun with a vehicle, because not only is it an almost perfect MK1 Escort, the name 'Cossie' is a very popular nickname for Cosworth over here in the UK, the Escort Cosworth is the most well known and beloved version of the MK1 Escort.

Imagine if everything online was in single player imagine the fun the highest all that of course you might have to buff the health bar of your companions to take more damage but it would be fun cuz I don't think the other two companions would survive that long but maybe I'd be wrong so they might have to extremely buff them to take more damage Edit: yes I know if they did that there wouldn't be any point to go online but it would be fun

I'm pretty sure the character names we're just "code names" they used in case of any leaks. Wouldn't make much sense to redo all the cutscenes and voice lines after the beta just to change names.
