I made a comment on a very large KZbin channel today about its use of clickbait. In this comment, I want to commend you, Jacob, for NOT using clickbait, but simply stating your video for what its content is. Thank you!

Thanks for that!

He does the opposite of clickbait, this type of work is so much crazier than he makes it seem lol. You couldn’t even pay me to climb a tree like that, let alone cut it while I’m climbing it

It's always awesome watching you two work together! one thing I like to use is a notch triple thimble on a ultra sling for solo rigging most of the time. It won't bind up or burn the rope and you can adjust the friction from 1 to 3 holes

I’ve been watching your vlogs for just over a year, but this one truely showed the art of cutting a tree down. You make it look so easy but can easily see how professional and masters you are of the art of safe tree felling. Great team. Awesome Vlog. Thanks for sharing. Sydney, Australia.

Wow there was a tree inside that ivy?😅 That was one tall tree , but you two make it look easy, the humor between you two makes for a great working day! Why did the owner want the tree taken down? Thanks for sharing your work day Jake! 👋

I love the perspective the two camera angles show. From Randy's camera the diameter looks fairly small. From your angle you can see the true size of the tree.Great video. Thanks for posting.

I used to run a whole-tree chipper in the woods in the southeast making chips for paper mills. It would handle up to a 28” tree but even with an 800hp Cat engine you’d have to intermittently pause to let the 8’ dia disc speed back up when chipping a tree that big. The only exception was cottonwood trees. They were so soft that if you could fit them in the chipper you could just let them go and it would chew through them like crazy. The only downside was they were so light you could fill a 48’ chip van till chips were falling out the back and still be underweight on the load.

One of the major differences between arborists who start with bucket trucks and those that climb is the communications between the ground/crane crew and the climber/cutter because buckets are only rarely able to reach beyond 60' and rarely use helmet radios where climbers almost always use helmet radio gear. Do not stop using your radio gear to talk to your ground crew is my advice for you as you grow the services you offer. I love watching how long it takes limbs to reach ground when you cut the limbs it really gives me a perspective of how high you are.

You can still get the rough out leather JK boots and you can also get compounds like these relaxed to put on the Outside of your boot to waterproof them this is something that the military did in World War 2 to waterproof their boots The military switched to rough out leather because they noticed how much more durable it was compared to the other alternative

Man I love working in Texas. We have a 60ft bucket as well and we’ve seen a handful of trees that were taller than it in the past year. We get to do a lot of limb walking though. Do you do any pruning, or do you just slay them? I’d like to see some pruning climbing videos. It’s my favorite part of tree work for sure.
