Mr Benitez did work at my house recently. My husband discovered him while watching a KZbin video about trimming palm trees. He and his crew cut down two of our 4 palms. They trimmed and shaved the other two. I can’t say enough good things about Mr Benitez. He’s a hard worker for sure. You can see in this video how he speaks to his crew member. He teaches, encourages and praises the crew member. This type of interaction was displayed at my home too. I must add that Mr Benitez and crew were always very professional and respectful while working at my home. Thank you for a job well done. Keep up the great work!!

theres a time and a place to use rigging. on trees like this i will simply de frond it like you did and then cut it in about one foot sections and drop them such that one edge of the chunk hits the ground and it usually sticks the landing. depending how it hits, it may bounce, but if you do it right it just rolls into the tree a bit, then one of my groud guys grabs it and loads into wheelbarrow. once you get the rhythm, it goes really fast so it goes much faster then rigging. of course the biggest x factor is the climber dropping the chunks properly, otherwise you can break shit and that is never an option. nice technique on the rigging though..

I didn’t need to rig the palm on this occasion. But it was the perfect situation where I can practice my rigging. I used to cut and chuck pieces but they don’t land where I want them to. They always roll around lol Even if I aim them to land on their butt

@@mr.benitezhimself the trick is to not let them hit square. If I'm dropping them to the right, I give it a little tilt, just slightly towards the tree. It's something to practice when your not in a tight situation. Mess up and hot the trunk and watch that bitch shoot out way crazy! Next time you have a wide open drop zone, try a few that way. It's one of those things were I've thought about doing a video on it.

@@justpalms9978 will do bro! This helps a lot I let one drop from 20ft thinking it won’t roll, well it rolled and hit something I had to replace🤦🏽‍♂️ but okay I’ll try that technique next time 👍🏽🤙🏽

Mr Benitez! I am huge fan of your videoblog and content! I am starting my own service to maintain gardens here in Queretaro, Mexico. There are many unattended and untidy Palm Trees in this area, I have one question. ¿How safe do you think is to climb the palm the way you do it? Is there a way of knowing the trunk is risky to climb ?

Hey, just a newbie, and I'm sure you do this all the time so it probably doesn't matter. But I was a tad bit worried about how you tied that rigging knot. It looks like you were doing a cow hitch, until the end when you slipped the rope through twice. I usually see people slide it through where the block slides through, then back it up with two half hitches. Although, I think ive also seen multiple people do it the way you did it, but not positive. Its probably no big deal. You tha man. Love the content btw, so much ive learned from you and all of the KZbinrs posting tree content.

I use half hitches to secure the log im cutting. I use the TIMBER hitch for my block. Same for my portawrap

Hey Mr. benitez, fellow arborist now (duty calls) and dealing with a palm. how do you deal with the rusting of the chainsaw and damage it does to chainsaws?

Thank you for watching! I use a stihl 193 & 194 for my chainsaw work. I clean them everyday after 8-12 hrs of pruning. When it comes to removals, I do the same. I clean my saws everytime I work them 8-12 hrs. Palm tree work is sooooo messy, I clean my saws as much as I can
