Finally your back on the mk1 !!! Can you just cut more tread onto the bar and then cut off the excess , that would bring the whole thing in tighter by 1-2 inch

I'm looking at a few options, but threading the rod deeper may help - I have a new shorter clevis on the way and I'll look into that.
