Removing Iron / Rust Stains - Rust Aid by Goof Off

I've been known to spill products on my concrete from time to time, and it's time to clean them up. Thanks to Jeremy OF The Greener Lawn, I found a great product to use that really works.

Been looking for just this kind of product for awhile. I have some rebar poking through my driveway causing stains, and the previous owner got heavy handed with Ironite at some point. Thanks for showing this. Definitely going to buy some now.

Yes, I used it on a heavily stained spot on my neighbor's patio. It took a lot of scrubbing but came off. Good product.

You can also use CLR. Very easy to use and doesn't leave behind a white residue.

Did the white stain left behind fade away? I have white spots all over my driveway but at that point should I leave it alone or just do the entire driveway and make it white.

Stuff works well. The white residue is the regular concrete. Clean... that is the only down side I see, is that if you don’t do it all you will see clean concrete where you do it vs the aged/ weather stained concrete.

Concrete is very porous so it is tougher to get the iron out. As you mentioned it is getting lighter. Thanks for the review.

what do you do about the concrete discoloration from the goof off? My stain is on exposed aggregate. Don't want light spots under the sealer .

Great tips! How about mixing over cardboard? I do it with N-ext products, weed killer, and much more! Never had a mess

It looked like there were watermarks after your multiple treatments on the front concrete step with the worst rust stain on it. Did just water or the Super Clean get that watermark off or did you use something else? The other rust stains on your steps look good. Also, on your truck bed, I was concerned about getting the RustAid on your paint, either overspraying the area or running off on to the body paint. Any issues there?

Have you tried muriatic acid on those stains? I would think that just about any acid product would get the iron and rust out.

I'd like to try acid myself. I just don't have the patient for 3 or 4 application. Wpuld it help to use a brush on the goof off product
