@@apk74 yes of course, just dont go mad scrubbing in the same spot over and over. I havent had any issues ever, but thats not to say you or someone else wont.

Pink stuff is great. It might be worth using patination oil on the lead to stop it happening again! Patination oil is supposed to stop the staining you can see on the glass!

That pink paste is just a fine abrasive, probably get a similar result with a decent cream cleaner. I used to use it on grimey and water stained shower enclosure glass when I used to clean the inside of houses, works a treat and it's cheap!

I've heard of the pink stuff before but never seen it in action. The difference was very obvious and looked much better. Good luck on the search for an easier application though. That looked tedious lol. This was very interesting! Thank you 😊

To stop it coming back, clean the lead with a damp cloth, dry it off and apply lead mate patination oil to the lead with a cloth and that should stop that from happening again.

There’s a clearer on KZbin called Aurikatatiina who tackles some terrible stains. She uses power paste/pink paste with a ‘cleaning blade’. It doesn’t scratch the ceramic hobs or remove markings as you shouldn’t dig into glass/surface just glide it over. Might be worth considering: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3PXh2ShhZp-d9E

Hallo. Long time subscriber. Next time use a scrub daddy. If you can't find one use that hard scrubber for glass. Usually used in kitchens. Scott's scrub or some thing. Smear white and pink stuff mix and let it sit for about five minutes. Always enjoy your videos. Karima South Africa

That pink stuff is amazing. I used to clean my alloy wheels with it. Wife would go mad after I put it back under the sink with alloy grime in the pot 😂

Laleland have a set of 3 sonic cleaners for kitchen ...I don't know if it would work on the stains on the windows but along with the Pink stuff it might help ...just a thought ...videos r brilliant ...before and after are amazing ...

Hi Sid......if you wipe the lead with patination oil that will stop the oxidation,if you wipe the lead first with a solvent cleaner like uPVC cleaner then apply the patination oil with a cloth it will be ok👍

The Pink Stuff has been around in England for a really long time. It's only been in the past year or so that it's come over the US market. In the US, Bar Keeper's Friend is the go-to cleaner. Both have similar active ingredients and work as a micro-abrasive cleaner. Similar ingredients are used with Scrub Daddy Power Paste. So in reality, you just need to go with what is the cheapest option in your area. Although, the easier option would probably be to go with what car detailers use, iron decontaminant/remover. It's main ingredient is thioglycolic acid and reacts with iron particles that can be rinsed off after about five minutes. You can also use a clay bar afterwards to remove any other particles that may have etched themselves into the glass. It would probably be faster and easier than using a blade scraper.

Try Hob Brite or Cillit Bang. Leave on for a few minutes then should just rinse off.

I'm surprised nobody came up with this, but lead marks can be removed using some acid, vinegar, citric acid, etc. It might need time to deal with it depending on the thickness of the layer. Another easier way is Cillit Bang or similar.

I wonder whether it would be interesting to do a test window using a ceramic coating to keep the stain off the glass in future and how long that might last?

On normal glass I'd agree but these orangery and conservatory roofs have a film on them which you have to be careful of disrupting so just incase I opted for the cream and a soft scrub with a towel or sponge
