Removing Magnets for Training with the Endura Flap

As the best cold weather dog door on the market, the seal on the Endura Flap Pet Door is very strong, sometimes making it too strong for timid pets. Watch this video to learn how to lessen the magnet strength & train your pet to work his way up to using it with full magnet strength.
The Enduraflap seals so well, cats and some dogs sometimes have a hard time learning to use it. There are magnets on both sides, and the bottom of the flap. With a flathead screwdriver, you can pop out the magnet covers and remove the side magnets. If your pet is still having a hard time, you can remove the magnets from the bottom too.
Method #1: Remove threshold and push magnets to the side. This prevents the magnets from attracting to each other.
Method #2: Tape down threshold with painter’s tape. This prevents the threshold from contacting the flap.
The flap will then swing freely, making it much less scary! Use some treats to help motivate your cat or dog, and replace the magnets once they’re comfortable!

I got the side magnets out, but removing the threshold is not nearly as easy as shown in the video. I've tried one end up, one down, both ends up, no luck. What am I missing?

Its not easy like the video. If you got the newer model which I found out we did.. I called Endura and we had to unscrew the frame and then take the screws out of the threshold
