It is way more easier to remove it by undoing L shape fuel inlet as it actually attaches to it :) And it can be done with ease on the vehicle. Only air filter housing has to come off.

El Berx on this model it doesn't sit in there, it sits vertically in the section above the needle valve seat. You could try pulling it out that way, but you'd probably have it come out in pieces and then you'd likely leave some pieces behind which would end up lodged in other parts of the carb.

ghetto journalism news, yes it's not really needed, as the main filter is finer and catches all the stuff you'll get from filling up. The filter above the needle/float valve will really only catch: - any debris from the two or three rubber hose joins and/or the fuel pump in the line between the main filter and the carb if they start degrading - any debris if the wrong size hose is stretched over the steel line and the steel line shaves off bits of the inside of the rubber hose - any rust or varnish that may flake off from the steel line between the pump and the carb if a secondhand line is used or the car has sat for a very long time without being used It's usually very hard to remove from the carb so you pretty much wreck it getting it out anyway. Unsure if replacements are available.

therealracer135 as u said "if the car has sat for a while" I have a car I haven't driven since September 2015 and it's a Datsun 140a hence I asked u so that I know what to do supposed I get to her and start it again ...is there any major risks I may incur due to inactivity of the fuel onto the engine?

By a while I mean closer to 10 years. Probably still worth dumping all the fuel from the tank and putting fresh stuff in. I'd also trickle a little into the bowl vents of the carb to wet the bottom of the bowl and let it sit for 24hrs to dissolve any crud that may be on the bottom, and then remove the bowl plugs to let it drain out and flush it out with a little more fuel. I assume you are in the US, so get yourself a can of Seafoam (I forget what the exact product name is, but I use the Japanese stuff called Threebond Engine Conditioner), spray as much of it as you can into as many parts of the carb as you can and let it soak for 20mins before starting the car. It should dissolve any varnish and crud that is left in there.
