Removing My Infected Port

Hello all! We're not quite to that happily ever port after, so don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss my next video where I get a few more answers and get my new port placed.
Port infections are not fun things. If you have a central line and you feel even the slightest bit sick, even if you don't have a consistent fever, even if you only feel ill episodically, please please get your line cultured. If you have something similar happen to you, where you feel ill after using your line, you may have an infection in there that hasn't spread to your bloodstream. This can be so dangerous. I wish someone would have told me this months ago, which is why I'm saying it now.

i just went through a similar experience and just figured out i have Colitis. My symptoms started n November. I'm glad u r ok

Glad you got this figured out. You ought to take that anger, well deserved anger, and get back to every place that failed you, and tell them. Let someone in charge really know how you feel and that they are WRONG and put you in danger! It may save someone else!

I got sick after an incident happened to me in February 2022 and then was in hospital with everything inside me organ wise freaking out by end of March and still struggling 2 years and 2 months on. I hear you about time lost.

When you say they gave you anesthesia do you mean simply local anesthesia or did they actually give you something through your IV?
