Thank you Abba, I was waiting for you to start making some corrections on some over done locations in the image, when moving some of the sliders. Concentrating always on the model, you missed a couple area's in the image, when making corrections with a mask would of been beneficial like the window frames having a blue tint instead of staying white like all the others , and the cobblestones in the street way to blue. I do realize this was a tutorial on using the clone and stamp and erase tool, and for that you did a marvelous job !! Thanks again

Mr. Shapiro, thank you for your video. We are trying Luminar 4 as a filter in Photoshop 20. We also use LR and Capture One. Can Luminar 4 be integrated into Capture One or do you have to use Luminar 4 as a stand-alone, then bring the saved file into Capture One? Are additional presets available for Luminar 4? We shoot weddings and portraits, but plan to get into sports and product shooting. Lastly, can photos be processed with batch settings? If so, what are the steps in the process to save all presets and AI settings to be used in the batch process?

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Is it mandatory to do all clone and erase steps first thing, then perform edits? I found that if I do my edits first, then do either clone or erase .... then want to go back and change my edits ... I can't. It appears Luminar "bakes-in" all adjustments and applies them to the new clone/erase layer. To make any changes after I have performed a clone/erase I have to create a new adjustment layer on top of the clone/erase layer, then again open the layers I want to adjust and then make my adjustments on this new layer ... in a sense starting over with the previous adjustment.
@LuminarGlobal5 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, yes, I would recommend performing edits when you're done using the Clone & Stamp tool, this way you'll be able to change the edits without creating a new layer.

Great video, I learned a couple very useful things. However, I have a couple issues. I am using a Windows 10 laptop and using the space bar to bring up the hand tool does not work with the built in touch pad, the hand icon comes up but clicking and dragging won't move around the photo. It works fine with a USB mouse attached. Not that the touch pad is the best for editing anyway, but there are times when using a mouse isn't very practical. The other issue is that using the shift key to draw a straight line using the erase tool doesn't work whether it's with the touch pad or external mouse. I tried holding the shift key before making the first click, after making the first click, nothing worked. Is this some sort of bug or is this a feature that hasn't made it to the Windows version yet?

Aha, the annoying bug in the edit layers is still there. I wonder when they’re going to fix that. What do I mean? Take a sharp look what happens to the overall brightness and contrast of the image when he compares the before&after between 9:10 and 9:20. remember, the only changes he’d done till then was cropping, adding one (edit) layer for the erase tool and one for the clone-stamp tool. There were no overall adjustments in brightness, contrast, etc. intended until this point. It feels as if those layers aren’t entirely transparent, like a somewhat milky slide you put over your image. This is quite an annoying bug. The software is not supposed to change things I didn’t intend to. Other apps don’t misbehave when using these tools.
@youtubedavidprice5 жыл бұрын
I spotted that also. Thought I was seeing things so I went back and replayed, and sure enough... it changed all by itself. Was wondering how that could have happened. Hope the bug gets fixed. Abba did a great job here explaining how the extra layers are created and how to preserve edits and try new looks by adding adjustment layers.

Well, I noticed it 2 years ago when I edited an image in L2017, which made me discard using Luminar at all for any serious retouch work (involving removing and cloning, that is). using Luminar4, I followed your helpful advice for my first use of the clone tool. however, I could not reestablish the clone source point, so i had to quit luminar or click on done and wait to reload the clone tool. then it forgot my settings for the clone tool, so i had to reestablish it, too. and without an undo function, you have to quit & reload the app! this software needs adult supervision in the testing department, if not in the design! i just read in another's comment that you told how to reset the source, so i'll listen again (i was trying it while listening without stopping your video). ok,hold down the alt key. why not describe these hidden clues somewhere in the app because there is lots of space to do so in the bars/margins?
