You are the BEST! Nothing worse than not knowing how to fix something. One thing I do is I take pictures as I go along to remember how it looked as I removed screws & parts. Love all your videos. The punch card has always perplexed me, but now that I see it with the cover off, I'm getting it. You are a treasure!

Roberta Rose I love you. The carriage of my recently purchased Knitmaster 155 was a bit stiff moving across the bed until it finally refused to budge. The right-hand drum was ceased up but I could find a way to get at them. Then you came to my rescue and after removing the cover and copious spraying with MD40 (I've ordered some Marvel Mystery oil to deep clean in a day or two) the drum is running free. Hurrah! Thank you so much. Just love your videos and simply adore your accent.

I have a Toyota KS650 that looks about the same. I've been pulling fuzz out of it and boy have I wished I knew how to get the cover off. I'm going to give this a try. Thanks SO much for providing this video.

You are one gutsy, practical lady! My concern has been having enough dexterity to put it back together and as easily as you make this look. My Brother KH270 cam buttons are stuck so need to get some Lori Lin spray lube and also to use a hairdryer over the cam buttons to get the old grease flowing. I appreciate your videos! Blessings to you and your hubby.

I really needed this video. The drums were seized up on my LC2 lace carriage. I took the whole thing apart and freed it up. Thanks for your expertise. I wonder if I should re-grease it before re-assembling.

Glad it helped! I have had a few singer carriages that was the same, so to take it apart is sometimes how to fix them. If the lube under the drums is dried up, I would scrape it off and clean that area and yes put a little more grease there to help that turn.

Thanks for this video, I've just got a HK-160 actually which had the carriage cover well smashed in the post, I repaired the carriage cover with superglue and duck tape after removing it from the carriage, reassembly was a bit more tricky but again your video was very helpful, Elaine.

+Elaine Simper Thank you for viewing my video(s). I am always glad to show things I have found out how to do or fooled around on one of my machines to get something worked up. We do what we can to fix our machines, thankfully you did get to use the superglue and duct tape also. Berda

One thing I have also found is to have my husband take my carriages (minus the sinker plate) out to the garage and use the air compressor and boy that does a beautiful job of getting lint off the bottom of the carriage. Even see some lint or yarn pieces that are stuck to the last lubrication and the air compressor gets those off as well. Then I spray the lubricant on it again, wipe it down and then wipe the needle bed. I hope that you can get the cover off and clean it better.

Well if it were not for a serviceman that showed me that trick, I may not have known it, well until I would have got the service manual for it. Now the Brother middle buttons do tend to get stuck, I was told to use WD40 sprayed in between those 2 buttons and let it rest, eventually it will unstick. Using a hair dryer will also loosen up any gummed up grease which may be a better choice. I feel blessed when someone comments on my ways or I have helped them in one way or another. Same to you.

@RAE5558 I am not 100% positive where I got the Lori Lyn and think it is hard to find now, but maybe check with Needle Tek or maybe Northtipton. Oh and ballistol oil or also known as gun oil will also work instead of the Lori Lyn Lube Spray. I do not have one of those long cleaning brushes as I have my husband use the air compressor to blow out what he can and it does good for me, even on the carriages it gets off 99% of lint. Search for Knitting Machine Cleaning Brush is you want one

Where did you get the Lori Lin spray? Do you recommend getting a long cleaning brush? I hear you mention one but haven't seen one used anywhere on Y.T. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay, hope you were able to get it unstuck. I have been away from my home here and there, so not doing much on my site. I remember once I had a stuck SK155 carriage. I had to take the sinker plate off of course, then I noticed that 1 needle was the culprit. I took needle nose pliers and wiggled that needle until it came out, then I was able to move the carriage. Come to find out, that was not a needle for the machine.
