If you know anything about cars and you know about solvents and detailing. What he used was called Acrysol and the stuff is a life saver, it won't eat the clear like thinner but it will remove most foreign substances from the coat.

Rubbing compound and then a polish. You can do it and let it dry, keep if for days or years if you want and still get it off easily in ten minutes or less. Do it with a solvent based paint and a cured clear coat and it will still be able to be compounded and buffed to a shine. Even if it digs in a little you can always wetsand with 1000 grit then 2000 grit then 3000 grit and get the paint off and then compound and wax it and then it will be good as new and much better than before becaus your cars exterior is dirty and dull. I lived in a condo where a girl that was a neighbor had an ex that vandalized her Porsche Macon Turbo. He spray painted all over it and slashed 2 tires and ripped the fuel door open and poured a bunch of random stuff down the gas filler neck and put candy in it too. Long story short she was absolutely gorgeous and I fell hard and I fixed all of it for her for free but i took her wheels off and brought them to a tire shop and she paid for two new Continental tires. I ended up dating her for 6 months until i moved and at the same time she ended up finishing school and moved back home to New York with her parents. I still think about her and talk to her every now and then. Anyway. Yeah. Spray paint is easy to get off. Dropping a fuel tank and filler neck of a Macon Turbo and cleaning it is a 6 hour job and is a real pain in the ass to do in a parking lot with a set of sockets, wrench set, a few pairs of pliers, 2 screw drivers, and a hammer. 😊

The guy probably used a can of brakleen or any sort of brake cleaner since it's mostly just acitone in a spray can. It's the same stuff that's put in nailpolish remover cause it's a very strong paint remover. But be very carefull if you decide to try it at home because it is VERY strong and could eat through clear coat if not wiped off as soon as it's put on and god forbid you have a car that has the paint mixed with the clear coat like most foxbody mustangs then you would just have a nasty light patch in your paint job.

That's works because the paint on the car has another thick coating of some kind of wax. And when you spray paint onto it, it doesn't make contact with the car paint. That's why the solvent works only on the red paint, and doesn't interact with the car's one

I think it’s a ceramic coating or some shii like that. I remember seeing this demonstration and someone in the comments of that vid explained how they would Have to wrap the car before a show at a dealership cause they would Have people write on it. But someone got lazy and just through some wax on it and the writing and drawings didn’t come off 😂😂😂.

Xylene will take spray paint off without disturbing the paint underneath if it hasn’t been too many days. Once spray paint cures, wet sanding and fixing the clear coat is the only thing I know of. One reason to clean with wd 40 is that it doesn’t f up paint that easily…

Just go to the car wash and the high pressure water on rinse will remove it from the paint. Spraycan paint don't stick to gloss surfaces.

Brake parts cleaner works better for removing paint. I use ot at work. Just don't leave it on long if your removing it from plastic or it could melt it.

the spray from the original video is probably mineral spirits or a similar petroleum derived solvent. wd-40 contains some percentage of petroleum oils but is diluted with other chemicals, which is why it was less effective

Wd40 is a degreaser so yes it will remove it over time if you keep putting it on over and over again. But it’s not the right tool for the job. A rubber wheel or compound will remove it

You need to do the water first, wd40 separates from water so it helps break the paint up too, so that makes it easier to remove. But its never as smooth as the first video

Carb cleaner, it takes the paint off, because it was fresh. But be careful with using Carb cleaner on your car’s paint.
