Nice choice of car , Had mine 16 years , same colour same year . Your a brave man , as there are no easy jobs on these , they are definitely a labour of love. Nice slippers I prefer to work in safety sandles .

im finding that out the hard way. its taken 3 full days to get the engine on a stand and i haven't even stripped it yet. maybe thats me or maybe they are just pigs to work on. i also like saftey sandals but i prefer to save them for when im welding lol

Good video, and well done! This is a job i have done once before on my ST205 when I replaced the clutch, and I can confirm that you are not understating to everyone how involved a job it is! I'm currently dropping the engine again, as I've knackered a piston. This time I've opted to remove the front bumper, it's amazing how much easier it is to lean into the job with it out the way!

Great video! Can in ask what that Jack was that used to lower the more square one and where got it from. Also as one of your viewers I think you should do them longer and more detailed, i think a lot of people with cars today want to learn to an in depth level like you can do, so we can learn to be that level one day also. Thanks

@@rowanlewisuk great mate. Can you tell me where you got that square motorbike style Jack from?
@rowanlewisuk5 жыл бұрын
@@evieemaya88 sorry yes my dad had it lying around so I was given that particular jack. I beleive it's technically a Clark motorbike lift but they are the same thing as a subframe jack. If in the UK you'd find one in a shop called Machine Mart

Hey there, have a gt4 myself done gearbox in it years ago on the pit and it nearly broke me!😅 I think I have melted valves or pistons now, cos no compression just wondering would it be better to drop whole subframe gearbox and engine together now I’ve a 2 post lift? I’m dreading going at it but can’t wait at the same time as I miss it. Don’t believe everything you read on the internets kids , if they need octane boost they definately need octane boost!!😅😅😅
@rowanlewisuk11 күн бұрын
You definitely need to drop the subframe, I wouldn't think it's possible to raise it through the top with all the transfer case in the way etc

Why do you get bombarded with ads every 10 seconds trying to watch your content??? It's most annoying, please turn that feature off. Not even the bigger channels have it that bad, and is this is more niche that will likely not ever be mainstream so what's the point? Also as a suggestion don't try to be so "to the point" that you cut out a lot of valuable how-to. We actually want to see the step by step, as this platform isn't exactly easy to work on in terms of pulling the engine. You cut out a lot of valuable steps, unfortunately :(
