Just a little editing on my absolute favorite character on the HP series (and one of my all time faves in general). Sometimes there are those characters that are utterly perfection, they make you feel so much, they got such a compelling story, they got so much to say and let you learn a lot and that's what Remus Lupin is. It makes me a bit sad that he's so undervidded, so I decided to contibute in my own little way.

Lupin is my absolute favorite Harry Potter character. He's kind, mindful, wise, gentle, and he really thinks about others, and how stuff can look from their perspective. He is beautifully written, and it hurt me so much when he died. When I say Lupin, some people automatically think of the werewolf part of him, and even though they are correct (in the way that it caused his poverty, and probably contributed a lot to his personality over the years), the thing I think of when I hear his name, is a man who did his best to better the world, even when he himself was at the bottom of it. The only negative thing I can ever say about Lupin, is the fact that he may have been too passive in his younger years, leading to a bitter Severus. Even with that, Lupin is the best character I've ever seen.

Bluesky Painting very well said, I totally agree with you. Except for the part about Snape, who wasn’t so helpless as people think. he was pretty bitter with them too and especially with Remus because he wanted to get them all expelled and had understood that something was wrong with him and wanted to use it against them all. and this lead to that incident created by Sirius (yes, it was too much but honestly he could take it anymore) and where James (who didn’t know about it) saved snape’s life. His bitterness is his own doing. Remus himself had, has, a hard life but he chose to be kind even though kindness is never directed at him. it’s all about choices (in this series it’s one of the biggest lessons) snape made the wrong ones and that’s why he’s bitter. He knows that and that’s what made him do the right thing at the very end.

What a sad, yet beautiful edit. Remus was always such a tragic character, so truly good and yet the worst things kept happening to him. He blamed himself for things that he shouldn't have, even for being happy with Tonks because he felt as though he wasn't good enough for her, that he was holding her back. I do wish we had gotten to know him a little more, that he didn't die in the battle of Hogwarts. Thank you for this amazing edit, it captures our favourite Marauder wonderfully.

Honestly this edit saves lives, specially me. I have no idea why Lupin is so important to me, but he helps me fighting against selfharm. I just can relate him a lot and this edit is just so beautiful that it calms me down and reminds me how even a werewolf can be loved and so clever man. Maybe he is just a fictional character and I’m childish, but siriously. Everything that makes me happy is nowdays rare so I love this... thank you for this edit. (Also the way how snape says Lupin makes me just smile and Lupin’s voice is so calm)

It is not silly nor childish at all. There is something very powerful in a good story, being this a book or movie. Sometimes we come upon characters that speak so much to our own soul and that help us overcome even our most difficult and darker times. It deeply touch me that my simple edit could bring you some sort of solace. But it is really all thanks to JKR and her beautiful creation that is HP and in particular Remus. Thank you so much for this lovely tribute to my favorite HP character. Like other Remus fans, I wish there had been ( much) more content featuring Remus and Tonks together in both the books and movies. . Remus was so loving and kind, always, and he deserved great happiness. I love Lupin soooo much! I fell in love with him the first time I read/saw him and just kept falling more and more in love but the the end of PoA made me go like NOOOO I TRUSTED AND LOVED YOU REMUS and then finding out the truth about hi in another Plottwist made me go like yeah you are officially my third favourite character in the series.
