I was planning on paying to watch, but after this my mind is permanently changed. There is some insconsistence with this story. In the original show when Magneto was introduce it was clear that he never had met the X-men before, including Rogue. Then again, the show always had some plot holes when comes to it's continuity (ex: Angel was introduce as new mutant to the X-men but episodes later established that he was one of the founding members).

I love Remy and I love this couple. Rogue sure messed up BIG time, but I think it's true to her comic self (which was always far from perfect), and also realistic. She fought with Dazzler over Longshot iirc, had a few dates with Colossus. Heck, even her and Deadpool was a thing. I mean, we all know who her true love is, but this relationship has always been difficult and very rocky, with numerous flings on the side. I kinda dislike they went for Magneto of all people with her, but I can see where this was coming from. I hope we will get happy ending for Gambit and Rogue eventually, but it's not a bad thing that they will get there not easily.

While im with everyone in the comments that their relationship is foul its very true to a storyline in the comics and the fact they told this story in their revival takes balls to do i cannot be mad at them giving flaws beyond her powers that shes quite selfish yet sympathetic. imagine taking one of the least liked plot points in comic history, and not only doing it but making it worse cause at least in the comics when it was tried (once, a dumb forced one-night stand) in 2011 the age gap was closer (rouge was older and magneto had been de-aged a few times) + aspects of grooming and abuse. Wow, just wow. So not only gross and creepy, just plain horrible and a complete retcon of the story/characters to push this awful plot point. Who thought this was a good idea?

The Gambit-Rogue-Magneto didn't happen until the mid and late 2000s, and even then it made no sense. Throughout the 90s nothing was ever shown or stated that there was a love triangle and the AoA is not canon, it's popular for other reasons.

After Gambit joined,whenever X-Men tried to reason with Magneto, Rogue was usually the one that could reach him emotionally. This has been a part of her story throughout the 90's. People dunking on rogue dont understand the dynamic they've (with gambit) had up until this point-- it wasn't official. They were at a distance. They flirted. She always fought with the demons of not being able to give him what she thought he deserved, and she couldn't have what she thought was important in a loving relationship. So, you are telling me that Mystique trained Rogue and met Magneto way before she joined the X-Men. She then develops feelings for Erik while getting to know him and, after being with the X-men for all this time, starts to be attracted to Gambit, cares about him, going through hell between Gladiator, the Phoenix Force, Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, MasterMold and then Xavier's apparent death. And yet, you tell me she chooses Magneto because she cannot touch Gambit? Are you serious? Did anything they have been going through all those years mean anything to her? This is poor writing.
