Remy, you are one of the most graceful extreme riders on the planet, your touch and feel through the most challenging terrain is an inspiration. I'm happy to re-watch your old rides and listen/learn from your commentary while you get better, you're a great teacher. Also, talk with your doctor about getting some electrostimulation on that scapula to increase blood flow and help it heal more quickly. I broke my foot twice last spring (different drops, different times) and after the second break I had 6 sessions of electrostimulation treatments that really helped me re-strengthen the bone. Good luck and love your work!

Remy, you are an inspiration. I appreciate your approach greatly. You show people how the rides are done, the reality of it, not pure glamorization ,and now you courageously are showing how to bounce back. Could you do some videos on how to get your mojo back after a hard fall? Just happened to me also.

Thanks for sharing Rémy, heal up soon! Good reminder that no matter your skill level, serious injuries can happen at anytime in this sport. I had a fractured scapula/shoulder dislocation combo a few years ago and it was about a year and two titanium screws later before I was riding 100% on the bike again and then another year before I felt totally comfortable sending bigger jumps. Rémy I really appreciate how you talk so much about safety, knowing your limits, analyzing features..it's an important message for all mountain bikers, especially in this world of 'doing it for the 'gram'. Cheers.

Get well soon Remy. Thanks for posting this as it shows our significant others that accidents happen and it isn’t always because we were riding beyond our limits.

Spiral fractured my scapula last winter. Was honestly surprised at how much more it hurt than breaking other bones. You're the man for getting moving this quickly

I can't believe how much shoulder mobility you have after just three weeks! I hope you heal quickly. I broke my scapula, separated shoulder, tore some rotator cuff muscles, and broke my arm all the in the same crash. I couldn't lift my arm for more than a month and due to all the soft tissue damage, it took nearly a year to get my strength and mobility back. Best of luck to you and thanks for sharing your experience.

On a related topic, I think it would be a good idea to do a video on Conditioning for MTB? What do you do off the bike for conditioning and does it help? People say that it helps to "bulletproof" your body so it will be more resilient. I do a combination of weight training, body weight, and mobility exercises. I feel it helps to a certain extent. It would be interesting to find out what you do.

Remy, our bones are primarily gelatin and mineral solids - the elements off the periodic table. I take VM-100 Complete by Buried Treasure .. extremely powerful multi vit/min with 70 to 75 elements. A standard multi vit/min will give you about 10. My healing time for all flesh, bone and ligament-tendon-cartilage injuries have, since starting this product, healed in less than half the time !!

Ouch dude! Glad it's nothing worse. Sometimes it's when we're on the blues at our most relaxed. Today I Nose cased a backflip on a lander bag and as I bounced off the bag I rolled off to the side and happened to fall on the one rock next to the bag. I'm ok but Damn biking hurts somedays. Looking forward to seeing your new stuff. It keeps me inspired to keep getting better, to present better, and to continue learning and having fun. Thanks for all you do Remi!

The section a bit after this, where you have the big open run narrowing into blue velvet and facing a step up to a left turn... Went full speed and did an identical thing to you here. That shale is very rough across this zone. So much so my gloves couldn't handle it and was left with 15 stitches in the center of my palm. Man that was a tough one! Hope you heal up fast and well boss

You got lucky that it is not too bad of an injury. I crashed about three weeks ago and dislocated my shoulder and have a massive rotator cuff tear. Having surgery Oct 1 and will be off my bike 4-6 months. It's killing me since I was riding 40 to 50 miles a week, now it's down to nothing... Looking forward to more videos from you. I hope you continue to heal up to 100%. It probably makes you think of creating some options for yourself going into the future, both in case you get injured again, but also for the inevitable ageing. You can still ride and do a lot pretty late in life, but you don't shrug off injuries as quickly as you get older, and you probably won't be pushing the same boundaries of the sport as you do right now.
