This is such a great video. Instead of just showing the footage of himself on a bike, this dude creates a gripping narrative out of his experiences in mountain biking, and how they have lead up to him sending this legendary trail. He turns himself and his friend into heroes with helmets, the protagonists of the epic saga wherein they must fight against giants, in the form of mounds of dirt. Watching them ride their trusty transporting companions is almost the same as watching a knight riding his beloved horse into battle. This is pretty much a modern day fairy tale. Incredible work.

This is going to sound bizarre Alex, but this video actually made me cry when you cleared that last jump! I'm a 31 year old woman in NZ who has started her mountain biking journey last year in September (I have stuck to the bike touring/bikepacking world), and although you surely have at least 10 years plus on me with experience, it's videos like this that really inspire me to keep going and baby steps to get to where you are now. I mostly feel it when I'm out with other riders who have oodles of years of experience on me, but they are so positive and can't believe my gusto. My flatmates stuck me on a grade 3 flowy/tech trail for my first ride, which gave me my first confidence boost when I started to mtb. Thank you for sharing your world with us and if you ever make it to Wellington, NZ I would love to show you some of our local trails! Ringa tōhau nui, E hoa, ngā mihi. Emma :)
