Could anyone who knows about guitar playing rate how good Rens skills are? Say , like compared to Dave Gilmore, Hendrix , Kieth Richrds et al ? Love watching anyone who plays with such passion. The chemistry in that studio between Liv and Ren is some Walter White quality stuff !!

As a guitar player I would say that many afficionados would not rate Ren up with the guitarists you mention, but it's not important. It's very subjective and for his age I think he is brilliant. A multi instrumentalist composer and lyricist, with a unique and raw style straight from the heart. If anyone were to slate this it would come from envy

I’d say as a player n a producer that he’s all of those rolled up in one. He has that special magic of all the best players. He’s proficient in all genres of guitar. He kinda personifies music n heart

I also think this is kind of comparing apples to oranges. The artists we would compare him to in this instance grew up in such a different time as far as the music industry goes. While I know nothing about music, coming from a psychological perspective, his cohort has youtube, its easier for us to be invited in their process. so we'll see more technical mistakes as opposed to an artist with more experience and a label behind them. Artists had to play the game more before streaming services and KZbin because the radio was the only exposure they would get.
