Sam is signed to Justin Bieber's label. And like Ren Sam's lyrics can be such a gut punch. But him singing Hero live at the Hammersmith Apollo only a few weeks after his dad unfortunately took his own life is beautiful and heart wrenching at the same time. He originally wrote the song a few years back for his dad when he overcame depression and suicide attempts only for his depression to come back and, well, now Sam has an angel looking over his shoulder 😢 A happier Sam Tompkins song, which I send to my girlfriend all the time because it's sick a beautiful love song is "Lose it All" the live version where Sam has his hat on backwards and he's inside a brick warehouse is absolutely stunning. His voice is insane!

I think you're talking about the remix of Talking to the Moon. It's a Bruno Mars cover. Sam has a part in the remix version. I believe it went viral and really put him on people's radar. He's an amazing artist on his own. Somehow, even better live than in studio versions. I've seen him twice in concert and had the opportunity to meet him. Just a solid and genuine guy. There are so many songs that I don't know where to start with recommendations. His live version of his long Lose It All is a great place to begin. Some people will definitely recommend Hero live at Hammersmith, but I think it's important to watch the official video first. It was written several years ago when his father was going through serious mental health struggles. Sadly, his father took his life about a year ago. Sam performed the live version a few weeks after his passing. Time Will Fly is a beautiful song all about the journey through life and his career and features footage of that first busking session with Ren.
