You are correct. Ren doesn’t want to be “famous”, he just wants to create. Ren isn’t as well known as Ed because Ren is independent. He rarely does shows, due to his health and doesn’t have industry pushing him into the limelight. He has turned down money and Collaborations with well known artist simply because he wasn’t “feeling it”.

Guys , the problem is Ren is Chronically sick. Last weekend they where shooting a new video and he endet up in A&E due to complications with his autoimmunity. So if it wasn’t for his medical issues I’m sure he would by now blow up like a 🚀. But the truth is, that he can only do what his health allows him and he uses the windows where he is doing well, as best he can! ❤

Not sure if you recognized Kai - the base player - he was Kujo in the Beat Down. You may have come at this in a backwards way but you're becoming one of my favourite Ren reactors. if you want to see Ren on the piano it might be time to do the Money Game trilogy. Or the video "For Joe". Both are amazing. Ren's illness has stopped him from doing live performances, or touring and he has no label for promotion so Ren got a #1 album just from online and fan support. Ren was in hospital and only just got out today so much love and best wishes to him.

Prince was one of my absolutely favorite artists ever! I am 54, and Prince was IT back in my day. Prince is a self-taught musician and plays 22 instruments. He is a musical prodigy. Ren plays guitar, keyboards, and drums. So much talent!

Ren has been offered to work with some big names but he wont do it if he isn't all keen on what the song is about so hes turned them down. he'd rather work with something that means something to him than sell out to work with someone big. Ren often has little Easter eggs in his songs. Ren released this song just before his his Nas retake. During Rens rap bit on this song he says a line about “that’s a Nas shout out with an awkward-pause.” In his next release, Nas retake, he then has a line in that where one of his words are censored (by Ren) and his mouth is pixelated causing an awkward pause. You may have already been told this but just in case, Ren is a multi instrumentalist including he can play classical piano pieces. There is a video where he is at a grand piano playing a beautiful classical piece of music. After he is finished playing a guy comes up and says that he loved it and could he get the sheet music for it, Ren thanks him for the compliment but then apologises that there is no sheet music because he just made it up right then and there. Which is mind blowing in its own right but the fact that he is self totally self-taught in every single instrument he plays, totally blows my mind 🤯🤯🤯 I am a new subscriber to you guys. I absolutely love your chemistry together and I am really enjoying the fact that you are actually artists yourselves. For me personally it takes Ren reactions to a whole new level when it’s artists giving their reactions. I am a middle aged white Aussie woman with no real musical knowledge I just know what I like and if it moves me I’ll keep listening to it. But I think I know enough to know that my recommendation I’m about to make will be right out of your wheel houses and probably that of most of your fans and subscribers? Please Please listen to Swan Song by The Big Push!!! I don’t know what genre it would be, it could possibly be classified as a hymn? I believe that it is an original written by Goran one of the guys in the band. But since you guys appreciate harmonies and given that Ren plays a bizarre little instrument that I don’t even know the name of I really think at the very least you will find it interesting and it will give you an insight into the many levels of Ren’s gifts and talents. I stumbled across Ren via Hi Ren when it first came out on KZbin 2 ish years ago? He had a bit less than 30k followers then and I have been a RENegade before their was a name for his fans and I have only seen one channel watch and react to Swan Song 😢 I would really love to hear your thoughts. I swear those girls voices sound like Heaven. Imagine your eyes are closing for the last time and that's the sound you hear. Chef's kiss. Couple things hopping around, It's hard to pin down Ren when you try to compare him to a great established artist. We all do it and you use solid references to do so. Prayers up for Ren as he has very recently relapsed with his Lyme Disease and had to be hospitalized while filming his latest "Tales" videos. He is now being cared for at home but is trying to get better so he can resume his treatment in Canada. He made posts on KZbin about it.

One issue with an independent artist like Ren and doing collabs, often a major label signed artist doesn't have the artistic freedom to just collab with anyone. Ren does not compromise on his art or change it for a label, and he certainly wouldn't let a label dictate his work or be a $ grab for them. So even an artist that would want to and be a great collab often the stars wont align for something like that to happen.

Loving this journey. I think Prince is a very respectable comparison with the only exception that Ren touches hearts and moves souls. There is a personal connection that so many have with Ren. In terms of talent, Prince is a good comparison though.
