My fiance adored music, it was everything to him. He was an amazing drummer and played RHCP songs the most. I wish he could have heard you... All your stuff. He would have loved it and dug the soul your voice brings here... I haven't listened to music since he died over 5 years ago now, and definitely nothing new. Frankly it's all terrible...been terrible for a while. Last night my sister randomly sent me Hi Ren... Now I understand where all the talent has gone over the past 10 years. I went crazy when I found out about Ren I was looking for some real talent with a message, I had quit listening new music for a few years then I found Jacob Collier interesting fella but he is IHH, so I kept looking then found HMack, from there started listening to old rap music with to my surprise it has a message most Nash, Kendrick, JayZ, old music modern is mostly curated for the masses, then NF which is an independent artist pretty cool his message is fine, then I found the one soul that has most of my way to think his message goes along my way of thinking to which I’ve been trying to express for 30 years things that have been haunting me for all my life this guy Ren such a human with all our flaws but with the courage to callout the hypocrisy and ridiculousness in the systems of the world. Spread his music as much as possible.

Thank you Ren for sharing this with us. For me personally it helps keep my spirits up a little. I’ve been in a very dark place the last few years. I have a pedigree of mental disorders and resulting health issues due to it. You’re like a beam of sunshine that reminds me maybe there is a reason to keep fighting. Whether I do or don’t, the fact that you share your personal struggles loosens the noose around our necks and brings all closer to unity. you’re helping thousands if not millions of people living in despair…for many of us you are possibly the Only source of comfort. What people don’t understand about depression is that it destroys absolutely meaningful in your life, I think people think we feel sorry for ourselves and that’s understandable (I have) but you eventually get to the point it’s way beyond that. Just trying to survive hour by hour and day by day of nothingness is totally exhausting. It is a real thing to plot and plan an exit at times…it really is comforting. I call it plan B 😂.

Chili Peppers along with Jane’s Addiction, Suicidal Tendnecies, and Rage Against the Machine, were my favorite southern Cali alt rock/punk bands back in the late 80’s, early 90’s. Love the rough voice.
