Everyone on Benzos or has been knows this. Just wanting that feeling to continue actually you can extend that to Opiates if you have anxiety issues. That warm embrace is very intoxicating and this is a warning for anyone with those issues that doesn't take the absolute minimum to where you aren't in that frame of reference, it will be the biggest crutch you wish you never met. Lord help you if you meet an opiate you like especially a high euphoria-producing one like Percocet.

I stopped cold-turkey from a few drugs, but street diazepam was one of them and I can't stress enough how bad a withdrawal it was. 3-4 weeks of absolute torture. And when I say "torture", I mean TORTURE! The withdrawals linger for months, but that first month was hell on Earth and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. 6 seizures, 9 days in hospital down the road, I've been teetotal since November 5th 2022 and I'm NEVER going back! Life's to be lived, not to be hidden from. Anyone struggling, please speak to a health professional and don't go cold-turkey, it's dangerous! But with the right care and treatment, you'll get there and I wish you all the best in your new life! ; )

You inspired me. I have suffered from anxiety for 17 years I was on benzodiazepines. Six weeks ago I switched doctors and went to a doctor and asked if he could help me get off of them because I felt like they were ruining my mind. Not cold turkey he says, but slowly but surely I am weaning off. I am only down to one in the morning at one at night and next week I start one a day and then I will be clean off and saying goodbye to benzos. I am proud of myself. I never thought I could do this, and to think my own doctor was giving them to me and upping them and upping them and I made the decision that I couldn’t live like that anymore.❤
