The whole ..."Pupils Dilate in the Dark, People Die Late in the Dark"....For me having worked in Hospital Emergency Rooms, when people die, they will often have what we refer to as "Blown Pupils", as in Dilated. When I heard this Bar, I was no pun intended, blown away, it hit super hard for me.

I guess large pupils may relate more with trauma I just sat with my 80 year old dying father yesterday morning as he naturally passed ... His last burst of energy before he died when he opened his eyes wide staring up but he wasn't conscious . I noticed his pupils were extremely small . You just reminded me with your comment ... I know it depends on the circumstance . .

​@@deepbluehue3well, firstly I think it's very sad your comment received no reply! Secondly, it made me cry, thinking of my own father passing. He too had that 'mechanical' way of breathing. Sadly I wasn't with him at the end. Pupils flare to try and see better or more; they dilate to allow in more light. (They also dilate when we talk to people we find attractive.) Maybe it's the result of medication that they dilate in clinical settings or maybe it's the dying trying to see the other side, which I know sounds very fanciful, but who really knows? I suppose too pinpoint pupils could be the pain drugs or the brain shutting down. I'm so very sorry for your loss my friend. Hope you're doing well as can be expected ❤🙏

I worked in a hospital myself and you are so rt. It’s the look of death that you can visibly see in their eyes. I too have lyme disease like ren and for him to have accomplished what he has is so amazing. I’ve been sick for 30 yrs and had to give up my career due to it. Some things you never forget from working in the hospital tho as an X-ray tech and worked in ER 🦠💚🦠💚

I too have a similar journey and still fighting lyme disease 🦠 I was misdiagnosed and given so many wrong medicines I nearly died. More than a few times. Been bedridden and caused my autoimmune system to be so screwed up. I am still fighting each day after 30 yrs of having it. For Ren to just have strength to do this amazes me but he has inspired me to keep creating. I’m an artist as in doing artwork but I keep active even from bed doing digital art and making videos for soc media. Ren is a warrior 💪🏼🦠💚🦠💚 Just so ppl know lyme freaking sucks His words are not only complex rhymes but his life story. It’s my story too 🦠💚 Even the part where he speaks about the padded cell can be your bed that holds you captive - I catch these meanings bc I live it too. I got tired of looking in comments to see if anyone else said already, but, I’m assuming the “rain when it starts” ties into Noah and the flood reference (which Noah’s story might be in the book of Genesis, but idk for sure) because the flood would’ve started with rain. It all ties in. It rains when it starts. Causing a flood, the flood, Genesis. The beginning etc. IDK. (btw I’m not religious and I’m not very familiar with the Bible lol).

It was until I tried to understand this song better and brushed up on my Bible that I realized what an a$$hat Noah was. Noah had this big warning that the rain was coming, so he started building this ark, but in the end he only saved himself, his 3 sons, and the 4 wives. If you watch Ren's "Eden" (or "Sick Boi") video, it's clear Ren believes that humans ignore the warnings that would save us. Noah was definitely late in saving everyone except his.
