Wonderful reaction. Welcome to the most exciting authentic, empathic artist I have ever experienced. He can write, sing, rap, beat box, produces his own beats, does mixing, acts and plays multiple instuments self taught. Hi Ren has been watched over 28 million times in 16 months. It has changed lives, including his own. I recommend Sick Boi, which was released right after this. His Sick Boi album got #1 album in UK in Oct. And his recent 4 retakes are masterpieces. My particular favorite us Seven Sins, the 1sr track on the album. New song coming out May 9th regarding his fight with Lyme disease and ME. This week he is doing 7 days of telling his story of a decade lost in response to a Million Missing Month Building awareness fir ME/CFS and Lyme. Chapter One today was gut wrenching.

I am 49 and can honestly say, despite my lifelong addiction to music, that Ren is the most astonishing artist I have ever encountered. My girlfriend said that he is like a musical decathlete only he would win all ten events individually. I cannot disagree..

I disagree, he's not a generational talent, he's a next level talent, he's transcended all music that has come before. EVERYTHING HE DOSE... is just so creative, raw, fresh. For as long as he lives he'll keep giving us album after album probably all with amazing visuals too. Will he ever reach a peak? Maybe he'll just keep getting better his whole life? ❤✌️

This is how a good majority of us Renegades came to “ discover “ Ren. [ There’s so much more going back years, as part of a band and on his own.] Ren lays himself bare and in doing so he has made many here feel seen, heard, and understood- often for the first time. There are so many different levels of his talent ( multi instrumentalist: guitar, bass, piano, drums, some trombone and cello. Not to mention beatboxing), singer songwriter, rap/ hip hop, spoken word, etc. You will get many suggestions on what to do next but which ever song or performance you choose you will be amazed.

Ren has been through some nasty shit, I copied this and post it on new reactors messages. He was bitten by a tick when he was 16 or 17 He got really sick from it and went to doctors and they could not figure what was wrong with him. When he had joint pain, muscle spasms, skin rashes, boils, internal organs started shutting down, And Doctors had no idea what was going on. He was loosing weight and had constant fatigue could not even stand to shower.. Doctors started sending him to psychological evaluations, They told him his mind was making him sick ! And started treating him for that with some heavy pharmaceuticals. And all that shit really fucked with his mind, He started believing he was crazy. And this went on for 8 fucking years !! 8 YEARS !! He pursued his own symptoms and lead to a Doctor that gave test for Lyme disease. Where he lived it was very rear to ever contract Lyme disease so he was never tested. When he went in described his symptoms the Doctor knew what he had. Ran the DNA test and found it in his system. However it has been in there for 8 years and has done a lot of damage to his body. He can only eat like 6 things his bones still hurt and the autoimmunity may never be healed. He had to go into surgery to remove tissue to generate stem cells grown outside his body then under go treatment taking the stem cells to help with the autoimmunity and help heal his deterioration of muscle, and a very aggressive antibiotics regiment to cure the Lyme disease chromosome. That was in LA then he went to Calgary and under going treatment on the damage the Lyme left.. He is still there until June. Welcome to Ren he is a talent I have never seen. And I have seen a LOT !! He has 209 songs on u tube no joke I pretty much like them all new and old !! His older lyrical videos are great try, everybody drops, He

Ren has another channel called Renmakesstuff, where he has just started telling his story in installments. You might find it interesting. You should definitely check out the songs Sick Boi, Seven Sins, Genesis (especially the live version), the Money Game trilogy, and the Tale of Jenny and Screech (another long one - there is a 13 minute video with three tales placed in order, making up a bigger story). He's done some fantastic collaborations. My favourites are Blind Eyed with Sam Tompkins and the two songs he did with Chinchilla (especially the live versions). He was also in a band called the Big Push, and they are definitely worth checking out.

Welcome to the Renaissance! This artist comes at you with so many styles and vibes... so here's a quick, incomplete rundown: Singing Ren: Chalk Outlines (Live), Fred Again Mashup, Back on 74/Message in a Bottle Retake Rapping Ren: The Hunger, Power, Illest of Our Time, Murderer, Genisis, Hold On Happy/Fun Ren: What You Want, Love Music 1-4 Storyteller Ren: Tales of Jenny and Screech (& Violets Tale), Money Game 1-3 Sounds like a lot, but that's not even half of it! Thing is this guy can't miss... every song is different, and every song is great. Loved your reaction, can't wait to see more! Subbed.

Liked your reaction and really glad you can see how special Ren is. I agree - he is the future of music. For me he’s like a modern Bowie - you’ll see! 😂However, he’s an independent artist who (probably because of this) is rarely played on the radio. Also, due to his health difficulties, he cannot play concerts at the moment. So thank you for helping to spread the word. I recommend Chalk Outlines (the live version) next. X

I smiled when you said "This is not what I expected".😉 In my opinion Ren is a musical genius at the same level as Dimash in his own unique way. Before listening to this video, I had not even considered Rap as music.🙄 Ren opened up this old ladies eyes to the point where I not only opened up to Ren but many others within this genre. Great reaction to this amazing artist❤️👍 🥰🥰Greetings from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦
@Codex77778 ай бұрын
Ren's on another level entirely to Dimash. Dimash has technical vocal ability and that's it. Ren has EVERYTHING! Plus, Ren can convery more emotion in a single line, or a single note, than people like Dimash manage in an entire career! Dimash mimics emotion. Ren IS emotion! It probably helps too, being a genuine creator, rather than just a performer. :)

@@Codex7777 Sadly, it would help if you did some research before making such statements. I understand enthusiasm but spreading false information about an artist that you clearly know nothing about is not acceptable.

Well done reaction! Many of us have waited through some long, bleak decades for real music that is not over-produced, has a message, and is truly unique. Ren ended the waiting. There are no wrong choices when deciding which song to do next. Every song different from the last, but they all have the same qualities that have made millions of people fall in love with Hi Ren. Just to see the variety and scope of his talent, would suggest checking out Back on 74, Money game, pt 1, 2 (lyric video), and 3, and Chalk Outlines. Subbing and hope you enjoy the journey!

He is dead honest; even if it means he has to scold us (Renegades). Ren is hope (some of us are quite ill. The missing and forgotten ones too sick to leave the house). Most of all he is music. Thank you for your reaction. That's the magic of Ren. I have seen more reactors who do not pay attention to the content of the lyrics, but now that they listen to Ren, they do. Ren draws you into his music. He is a master of storytelling but in a bard style. I think they call it Bardcore. Subscribed for more Ren...😁

Completely in agreement with you about the positive and negative of not pausing. Plus, doing so disrespects the song/performance. Always felt that if a reactor must pause for fear of losing his/her thought, he/she should do so upon a second hearing. The first hearing should always be a full run-through. I hope you continue your current method of handling pauses going forward with the channel.

Great reaction. I love the respect you place on the music and the artist. Regarding Ren, I think you nailed it, he's a modern day Bard. Raw, honest, powerful, clever, talented, ... superlatives never end. Most of his work is hip-hop, however you can see a different side of him on just about every track. recommend hip-hop: Power, Genesis, Seven Sins, Wicked Ways, Losing It, Animal Flow, The Hunger (all are exceptional in their own right) recommended jazz/ska influence: I Shot the Sheriff & Bongo Bong (The Big Push, a busking band Ren was in); Back on 74; Instrumental highlights: For Joe (live); Mackay; and just about any acoustic song. I think people miss this too but his song Loco is acapella, it's just easy to overlook with how we blends it. Live acting brilliance: Hi Ren (obvs); Money Game Pt 1, 3; Tale of Jenny, Screeth, & Violet (3 pt) Enjoy the journey, it's deep and amazing.

Here is a list of recommendations broke down into different categories: Mental Health: Sick Boi Dominoes Su!cIde Bardcore (Hardcore story telling) The tales of Jenny & Screech (Full trilogy all at once) MoneyGame (3 parts - Part 2 use the lyric video) Rap: The Hunger Genesis Fisher retake The Big Push (his band) War Pigs cover I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion Praise you Collabs: Ren & Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines & How to be Me Ren & Sam Tompkins - Blind Eyed & What went Wrong and soooooo many more... This is literally just the surface and it's a long way down the rabbit hole. You won't regret diving in!

Great reaction, and a new sub here. I agree with you about pausing and losing the rhythm and immersion of a track. Ren's base is pretty obsessive, but mostly positive and will bombard you with backstory and recommendations. I've thought about this too. It's probably best not pausing but watching it for a 2nd time. Collecting your thoughts during the 1st and 2nd watches might help to then pause at the 2nd time watching it. I think for any reaction video it's a tough call between being in the moment but stopping it so often or watching it all but missing lots of key moments everyone hopes you pick up on.

Ren's different. If you react to his last 4 drops, Back on 74/Message in a Bottle Retake, Nas Halftime Retake, Fred Again Mashup and Mackay (that's an original instrumental) you will get an idea of his variances in music.
