I am not sure, but I think that whole section of the song is about Robin Hood and his band of merry men and their connection to the fall of the Catholic Knights Templar. According to some historians, Robin Hood is said to be one of the Knights Templar hiding out to evade capture. The Knights were charged by the king with the crimes of heresy and devil worship including spitting on the crucifix as part of their initiation ceremony. But the charges are also said to be made-up so the king could excommunicate them, torture them, kill them and take all their money. I wish I could ask Ren if that is what he was talking about. It's my best guess right now.

Its a joke its irony. Crucifixion is a Christian/Catholic construct. Its has no meaning outside of those religions. So its a bit like saying electrocute an electrician. Or a somebody with a star sign of cancer being eaten by a giant crab. 😂
