Yep I notice most reactors no matter how good they are mainly pick up on the cultural references. Not saying they wouldn’t have got it on the second or third hearing but still it’s so often the easy ones they notice first time around. I think it significantly contributes to how underrated REN’s raps are. 👍🦇

Why “Call a medic for myself”? Because Ren is also referring to Freddie Gray who died in police custody because they did not call a medic in time. Mercury is also the messenger god of the Romans and an element used in alchemy believed to turn base metals into gold. He says he is an alchemist. When Ren says he is a rap star then cat lady (Egyptian goddess Bastet) toasts to Ren with a beer, a Stella Artois. Stella = star in Latin. In mythology Bastet gets sick drinking beer humans died red to trick her into thinking the beer was blood. So it is ironic that Ren has her drinking beer in the video. Then Ren proceeds to get sick. The references in this video are at a totally different level.

Always a great reaction from you! According to Ren this song is all about double entendres. Wicked Ways is a fire lyric video that you haven't done yet. Both Illest and Wicked have so many layers, references wordplay, etc. Practically every word means something even the beat has Easter eggs. He just finished shooting a video with Webby. One with Prof is in the works. Two with Chinchilla is done (except he says he mixes his tracks to death).
