Dominika, I think that this song was designed for the average person to have to listen to it over and over. To even come close to catching everything. Lyrics guys, go through and stop it to break down what he just said. Knox Hill, IS a really good one to watch for that. The whole thing from the title of the song. To each word and phrase had more than one meaning. If you can catch it. (I am still learning) But, this wasn't all about the words. It was a creation that was dark, urgent, confident and strong. He put on the maniacal character quite well. I SERIOUSLY urge both of you to watch the clip from twitch after this video premiered. He cries HAPPY tears, you will too. Oh, one more thing. The reason that your reactions are so good. It's the BOTH of you and seeing the different perspectives.

I never usually break down my own words because I love letting people apply their own meaning, but there was one line I wanted to explain. The title of the song. Alot of people took this to mean "The greatest Of Our Time" "Look for all the answers that I never seem to find, Till then I guess I'm still the illest of our time" Its my reluctance to be the illest - the clue is in the word 'guess' - ive spent the better part of a decade looking for solutions to the damage lyme disease dealt with countless doctors visits, and am still in that boat. "Illest" can also mean "dopest" "best" etc. So it's a bit of a double entendre. I’ve never listened to rap until ca 2 yrs ago, with Tom McD. Ihardly understood anything at first. I heard the words but it was so fast. I’ve gotten used to it. Now Ren has another style, accent. And also there are often quite clever lyrics, double meanings, references to movies, politics, litterature. In this you had Freddie Krueger, Freddy Murcury, Mary Poppins, Sherlock Holmes and Screetch and more. 👌🏼😎

This is the exact way I thought this would go, that you would "love it because you love Ren". I watched him live when the song dropped, and he was so proud of the song, and so happy to see the reception it was receiving. He cried when he saw that there were reaction videos to it minutes after it was released. Personally, I felt the same as you, and the song has grown on me after a couple of listens. But on first listen I didn't like it, and found the production too noisy and ugly. I don't feel like it's a good introduction to Ren's rapping, if this was your first rap song of his. Songs like Genesis and The Hunger are much better sounding, and his song Losing It is absolutely bananas. I hope you'll dig deeper into this side of him, just so I can watch Andrei looking so happy banging to the beats. You guys are amazing!
