This one needs the background for context. Ren made a lengthy explanation and there are shorter synopses on the pages of other reactors.. Ren bought a beat from KujoBeats on Beat Stars with an unlimited license, Kujo claiming to be the maker/owner. It included a stolen (uncleared) sample from a Bulgarian folk choir and they came after Kujo. In turn Kujo tried to get Ren to help absorb the demands for payment but Ren's lawyer said 'Kujo, this is on you and you have to absorb the cost on your side'. As it went further Kujo kept wanting more money from Ren and then a master split, finally demanding 100% of the master. Then Kujo tried to create leverage with a copyright strike on Sick Boi and the video was taken down. .Ren offered various ways to try and reach a compromise including offering a new track with Kujo with a 50/50 split. Kujo declined. Kujo and his GF talked a lot of shit with/ about Ren and so after it all came to a head Ren said nope you get no extra money from me and took his own song down.Kujo Beat Down was written to vent his anger at losing 'Sick Boi'. KZbin later got involved and removed the strike and the video is back up. Ren was absolutely done with Kujo being a greedy pig. Ren has a 36 minute video with all the receipts and screen shots if you are interested.

For me what is really incredible is this was put together in a matter of weeks. He only learned about the Kujo situation a few weeks before The Secret Garden Party and that was only about a month ago. So maybe 6 weeks? In the middle he did TSGP which was his first live concert in 5 years so it would've taken a lot of time and prep. Boggling.

Been quiet on Kujo front, so no part 2. Sick Boi back up afyet Ren sat down with YT exec.Lujobeats sold Ren a beat with stolen chour sample and tefuses to yake responsibility. He and gf spreading lies and gf joked abour breaking Ren's kneecaps. Then gaslights him about mental health. She earned her place on that stage. Ren pulled SB down to stop yhe extortion tactics. He was pissed.

Should have done the explanation video first and this would have made so much more sense - but if you missed the story it's not your fault 🤷‍♂ Perhaps watch this again after you've seen the explainer and it will make this much more understandable and show it's brilliance !
