I'm one of his older fans, I just turned 66 and I never really listened to Rap, until Ren, except back in the 90s when I was forced to listen to Eminem through my kids lol, now I'm listening to battles and Diss tracks 😂 and understanding hip hop a lot more, my teenage years were spent listening to David Bowie and Queen in the 70s and other artists around at that time so I've heard a lot of music but Ren has reignited my interest again so much so that when I heard he was performing at Secret Garden Party at the end of July I just had to go, so as a senior citizen I bought a ticket and went solo to my first ever 4 day music festival and went camping with people I had never met until I got there - it was the best experience ever with some of the nicest people I have ever met, the Renegades are a fantastic community of people who have all been inspired by the Ren effect. So happy to see you keep going down this rabbit hole and you are already a Renegade in my book ❤

53 years old here. I was more into alt rock in the late 80's through to the late 90's, though I did like Beastie Boys, Nas, Eminem and a couple others. I love that he's helping to keep those early rap sounds alive. I also love how effortlessly he is able to mix sounds and make them his own.

@GoatWorthy_ he will hopefully in future perform all over, he wants to, but at the moment he's very poorly as he's been for the last over 10 years 😢 he's gone downhill literally right now with his health hes put about it on his facebook and youtube ❤❤ He's not been able to do many live shows anywhere because of his health, he has lyme disease, autoimmunity problems, and other things. I am a 20-year-old girl from Ukraine.❤❤❤❤ English is my third language (as you'll see with my grammar here), so usually my choice of English music is dictated more by the sound than the lyrics (I still appreciate a good lyric, but it has to be a really beautiful, emotional, song for me to go google and find out , what exactly the person said). That's why my connection with Ren's music is so shocking and beautiful, even when I don't understand the words his music speaks to me (and after listening I climb down this rabbit hole of lyrics and google everything I didn't understand, your videos also help a lot lately my vocabulary really expanded, also I discovered a new love for hip hop music) all Love from Ukraine, prayers for Ren❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I'm 63 in CT USA. For me, Ren surpasses even Bob Dylan and Prince in his influence. He's literally shifting the vibe and culture of the music industry (for those who are paying attention) by introducing a new standard of excellence in craft as well as authenticity. Several times over the years I've tried to get into rap and hip hop but I found much of it lacking in lyrical depth. I learned to appreciate the intricacies of rap lyrics, flow, and beats through Ren's music and reactors such as yourself are exposing me to what true rap culture is all about and the important role it plays. Eager to explore Eminem's catalog. Thank you! FYI In the past, Ren has tuned in to, commented on, and shouted out smaller reaction channels. I know he's super busy but you never know! 🤞

I am definitely one of those older fans - grew up with Pink Floyd, Prince, Queen, etc. and never thought I would hear music that compelling again. And then I found Ren, and then I found hip hop, and I realized that the complexity and lyricism that I thought had gone missing was still alive and well. You just had to know where to look. Ren is definitely a unicorn, but hopefully he is one that lures more unicorns out into the open, because you know there is probably a lot of talent out there - people who thought they could never make it in music, and now believe that yes, it can be done. Even without a label. And oh man, would an Em and Ren collab be amazing? Even sort of goes together - EminRen ❤

Every line has a reference and layer. There's hip hop artists with either their names (Dizzy Dros is one and Dizzee Rascal another he says it twice) or lyrics (Mr. Lover Lover by Shaggy who he references in a different song as well). His physical illness as well, blood sucking parasite.. on and on, 😂❤️

Especially bc your craft is poetry and I always listened to rap including tupac, nas, Twista, tech nine, Eminem on and on but until Ren I never understood the true meaningful art in hip hop. It's funny you should mention Eminem because that whole scheme in the tunnel was a call back to the movie soundtrack, of the same name, called Venom by Eminem. Another “old man” Ren fan here. Came across Hi Ren about 1.5 years ago and can’t stop watching his videos; any and all of them, including every reaction video. At 57 years of age, I grew up listening to ‘70s, ‘80s, and ‘90s music as it hit the airwaves. Now, to put this in perspective, here is a partial list of the concerts I’ve been to in the last couple years: ZZ Top, Metallica, Alanis Morissette, Def Leopard, Joan Jett and The Black Hearts, Santana, Judas Priest, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon, Loverboy, Journey, Yes, Kansas, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nickelback, Joe Satriani, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), and others. Yet, here I am watching you react to a Ren song I’ve heard a hundred times. Yep, I think he’s that amazing. He’s a true artist, exposing his inner world through outward projection in the form of music and acting. And, I think he’ll be making art until he leaves this world behind, long after I do so, I hope.

I'm not too young, early 40's, and I have always liked rap/hiphop/r&b. In fact I have always hyper-fixated on music in general, my dad was a musician as well as most of the rest of that side of the family, I have more than a few relatives involved in the industry. When I came across Ren last year i got all sorts of emotional because i knew that sooner or later an artist would come around and turn the music industry on it's head, but i didn't know if it would happen in my lifetime. But yes indeed, here he is, and i am soooooo here for it. I am absolutely loving watching your channel and delight as you're discovering just how deep Ren goes as an artist and as a human. Total side-quest and unrelated, you just reminded me of it when you started singing Em, but have you heard the Kasey Chambers cover of Em? It's quite possibly the very best cover of any song ever. You should at least check it out on your own if you don't want to stray from the themes of your channel. Listen to the entire thing. You won't regret it.

Ren is the best by far. Ren is not just a rapper but an artist. You get very little of that contemporary underlying beat in Ren's work and that is very appealing to those who do not normally like rap.

I remember early Eminem and that I've not bothered much with music since til Ren really and as you know, the more you hear, the deeper he's got you. It was lush to see you face when in his first beast mode when he upped it again your face was like woah! That was a huge compliment to Ren as it was but you also commented on others singing that fast and no one knows what they're saying. Do you think it's Ren's accent that makes him more 'hearable' or is it just that he says his words well and isn't swallowing a microphone whole lol?! Loved that you picked up on his basket ball skills! Don't worry, there's a few reactors that have mentioned that. Being Welsh I know nothing of basket ball but you're not the first to comment one it and I love you more that you did cos if you didn't you wouldn't be keeping it real. This is my favorite Ren song. I'm in my late 50's and I've NEVER been much in to rap. (Except for some stuff that has made it "main stream". ) I haven't been in to "current" artists since the early 90's. I WORSHIP Ren. WORSHIP. He is a genius and I will buy everything he EVER puts out. And I'm a Ren reaction addict. You've won me over already. (This is the first time I've seen you). I've subscribed, and I will check out all your Ren reactions.

I’m enjoying your reactions, you’re a respectful dude. Check out What You Want for a nod to the Beastie Boys. I’m so excited for REN’s new work and feel so lucky to be around at the same time as him

This song would kill it in a dance club. I play this one when I need some energy to get moving. It's impossible not to bop when it's on. I do believe you are now a closet Renegade. Now you just need to come out. 😂

OK OK I subscribed. I like your insights. 60 here, and an early adopter of Hip Hop. I lost interest in a lot of rap in late nineties and hardly listened to it for decades, but Ren has reignited my early enthusiasm in the genre and just in time for all the recent drama in Hip Hop. Ren covers a lot of my favorite genres and I agree that he is a bridge for some older fans.

Going "Macbeth" would be killing everybody, every possible "contestant" to his throne, I'd say

I love both Eminem and Ren, it's just different moods (for lack of a better word). But to me the only thing separating them is longevity. Eminem has shown he was here to stay, he's proven it. Ren still has to prove it but he's so clever and creative that I can't see him not being able to adapt. Thanks for this.

Ren is absolutely amazing! His talent is so multifaceted, if you haven’t watched ‘back on 74’ I highly recommend you react to that too. You will be gobsmacked!

Ren's retakes are always honors for the original. "Losing It" is a 90s classic EDM song by Fisher. I think Ren just took the title and ran with it. The whole song is about beings who "lose it." Monsters, supernaturals, animals, killers, musicians, soccer stars, and other WTFE people. I adore Ren's shorthand of "Macbeth" in lieu of saying he's about to kill it (lose it). There's a ton of cultural references that everyone catches, but not usually realizing they're all disturbing, psychotic, homicidal or just plain old creepy if you think about it. We all love Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption, but if you remember, his character was a convicted murderer. And it's a given for movies by Tarantino or those mentioned with Tom Cruise. Too many syllables, but "Eyes Wide Shut" would have fit well thematically. 😉 Also ❤ ~Digital vampire: terabyte / terror bite (cuz it's a vampire) ~"I chop the fck up like a cosmetician" cuz that's like Dexter cosmetology; a nostalgic reference to the Midwestern hip-hop choppers; the usual musical references including sampling, etc. and the braggadocious element implying he's got chops. So many potential meanings in a few words. Love it!

P.S. 50yoF whose rap interest never went much further than Beastie Boys; Linkin Park; and Eminem's first couple of albums. Ren has opened my eyes (ears), and now I'm exploring. Just an unsolicited idea, but...Tupac? I've heard the hype about his lyricism, but IDK where to start. I'd eagerly watch a docuseries exploring his potential GOAT status. 💛

Another older fan here, 53 yrs old from Cape Cod. I have always enjoyed the extremely talented Eminem as well. NF also. My 5 adult children all have tried to get me to listen to other rappers when they realized I listened to Eminem. Lol…after they laughed 😏 None so far have clicked with me. Ren is definitely in a field all his own. I have not found one song of his I have not liked, loved or related to. I enjoy not knowing what genre of song he will put out next or if I will be smiling, laughing or crying through it. Love your excellent reactions!! I will have to check out your Eminem reactions also. Thank you! ❤

I'm a digital vampire, terabyte...🔥🔥🔥 ha ha! Loving your joy on this one :) one of the reasons he got into fast rapping, with clarity (besides passion), was because during his illness (and meds?) he developed a stutter at one point and used rap as a means to reduce/get rid of it. Appreciate you GOAT!
