@@annfarmer9704 That's definitely not gone unnoticed by me too Ann. / I've studied Shakespeare for a Long time because I find it incredibly inciteful and timeless (once you understand the Old English language). Also, I've watched countless 'Hi Ren' reaction videos and in all honesty I find it astonishing that Nobody seems to have noticed the glaringly obvious comparisons / parallels to Shakespeare's’ ‘Hamlet’, with particular regards to Hamlets _“To be or not to be”,_ Monologue. The conflict in Hamlets mind is like a Mirror Image to conflict in the 'Minds' (so to speak), portrayed in 'Hi Ren'. it's just the language used is how we speak now. Personally I have NO IDEA if that was intentional on Ren's part. But in light of All his other poetic references I cannot help but suspect it is... I wish I could actually ask him if it is...?

@@annfarmer9704 I'm certainly no stranger to serious illness and spending extremely long periods alone facing my fears and fighting my own conflict (if I told you just how serious and how long you wouldn't believe me), suffice to say, the words : *_"I was made to be tested and twisted ; I was made to be broken and beat..."_* in 'Hi Ren' Hit me like a Huge Emotional Hammer. I cannot help but suspect that a LOT of Ren's references come from an acquired knowledge gained from reading book after book and watching movie after movie in all the time he spent alone ill and struggling with his own fears then having the poetic genius to link it all together and apply it to his own life and his own art... And you're right Ann, someone needs to do a long, in depth interview with him.

@@lilbullet158 me too, at one point I had counted the days but once you pass the 7500 mark you have to stop. Being black out awake is not something I would wish on anyone. Awareness returns and you begin to wonder how long was I sitting here staring at nothing? I used to practice smiling in the mirror, because of looks I got from customers when I tried to return smiles. For over a year I had felt nothing. From my nose to my toes. I had been a walking pair of eyeballs. When I looked in the mirror and tried to smile it was the most disjointed alien looking face I had ever seen. I never told anyone how I wasn't feeling. Just plowed through it. It took almost a year of focusing on the littlest of things to get emotions back. It was hard. Feeling a breeze on my face, the scent of Daphne in January, listening to the bees hum. It went from there to trying to socialize with friends again. Then trying to trust. That one kicks my feet out from under me always when I'm in the most dangerous place to fall. But once I found my laughter again it wasn't so bad. That is what heals me the fastest and what I will never let leave me ever again. It is a good thing that I have a silly sense of humor too. Wow... You should be charging me couch time! I have to thank Ren and thank you too. Ren seems to have left us all in a safe place, a healing place. All of the commenters are so supportive. And most of all real, and kind. I look forward to the day we can see Ren live and get to hang out with my fellow Ren-egades in person.
