Ren wrote this song more than 10 years ago and probably was one of the songs he recorded when he was signed with Sony. He would perform it when he was with his first band Trick The Fox. They disbanded in 2013 due to Ren's illness.

I will always go back to part 1 because Ren lays out his own hopes & dreams - festivals, hanging with his heroes, being at the point in his life he releases his Greatest Hits. Made me so happy to find out he was invited to Glastonbury this year, then cry because his health wouldn’t allow it. So bittersweet. 😢🙂💜

great reaction. All of the love music parts are a good time, but each has a different feel. 1 and 2 are on the same album but have a significant time gap as part 1 was done before he got sick and part 2 came years later when he was a little better and set the goal to finish the album that he'd started.

I saw this reaction come up and couldn't push play fast enough. I knew you would love this one. Funny he talks about seeling music to the kids. The age of his fans range from teens to seniors. Add to that, he is having a hard time keeping cds on the virtual shelf. He has another called Rockstar, I think it's unreleased. He talks about dreams that are coming TRUE today. A testament to what HARD work AND talent can get you. Oh and ABSO _ING LUTELY have Caine listen to this one and the other 2 as well. They are ALL pure FUN. I am SO enjoying, watching your journey. Hi Antony! I love the trilogy and Part 1 has a special place in my heart. My first interpretation of the line about feeling it in your chest coming up from the basement is that it’s a visual for the physical feeling you get in your body when music vibrations travel through. Like if music was been played very loud in the basement and you were standing above it you would feel the base traveling through the floor, past your feet and hitting your chest. I don’t know why that’s the visceral feeling I get from that line, the beat traveling through your body vibrationally. It’s my favourite line because it evokes a very unique physical feeling brought on by music. Looking forward to watching Part 2 ❤

Love you, Ren, and I've been a fan for about 7 years, but here's the thing, my wife and 16 year old step daughter are fans too. They've pointed out that occasionally, and in this particularly the misogyny is off the scale, man. You're a lyrical genius and I get the mischievous side to the lyrics, but teenage girls are objectified by teenage boys and tracks like this don't help. Best of luck with everything
